Drop Him: 73% of Liverpool fans want Klopp to dump 'brilliant' €44m star today

Should Emre Can keep his place for today's Premier League clash with West Brom?

Can looked well off the pace on againsts Manchester United; he slowed down Liverpool's attacking momentum on numerous occasions, and gave the ball away and/or got caught in possession numerous time.

To be fair, he'd just returned from injury, but with the reduced fixture schedule this year, and so much at stake, the margin (for players) is slim. Just ask Simon Mignolet (!)

On Friday, Jurgen Klopp confirmed that Georgino Wijnaldum is 'on the way back, and that 'everything is good' with Adam Lallana, which means Can's place will come under threat.

I conducted a poll asking fans if Can should retain his place in the starting lineup, and the results are emphatic:

* 73% of participating fans voted for Klopp to drop Can back to the bench.

Lallana is more likely to play than Wijnaldum, who is - according to Klopp - 'on the way back', and if the Dutch midfielder doesn't make it, then there's a chance that Can may keep his place:

----- Lallana --- Hendo ---- Can

If this happens, I just hope that Klopp doesn't play Can higher up the field than Henderson, as he did against Manchester United.

^ Can: €44m-rated (CIES Football Observatory). Recently hailed by James Milner as 'brilliant' -
