Carragher: Forget Mane. 'Excellent' £20m BR signing 'won' the game for Liverpool. Agree...?

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has hailed two of Brendan Rodgers' signings for their vital contribution to Saturday's 2-1 victory over West Brom.

Reacting the hard-fought victory, Carra enthused:

"Good win today for Liverpool. [Philippe] Coutinho was outstanding, and a great block from [Dejan] Lovren late on won us the three points".

I'm not sure Coutinho was 'outstanding', but he had a major hand in both goals, so the Brazilian definitely influenced the game.

Some other post-match reaction:

Roy Evans

"Great win and performance today. Some of the football we played was superb. Need to be more clinical and put games to bed but that will come".

Simon Mignolet

"Massive three points today! Now roll on midweek against Tottenham in the EFL".

Jordan Henderson

"Great three points! Well done Phil Coutinho and Sadio Mane on their goals".

David Thompson

"Such a one sided game today at Anfield. liverpool's football at times was sensational. Couthino, Mane and Lallana were on fire".

* Dec 2015: Carra hailed Lovren for his 'excellent' performances. Cost: £20m
