I'm Back: 'Brilliant' £55k-a-week Liverpool star drops massive hint he's starting 'tonight' vs. Man Utd

Will Emre Can start tonight's game with Manchester United? With Lallana and Wijnaldum still recovering from injury, it seems likely, and the German midfielder has now dropped a huge hint that he's starting tonight.

Earlier today, Can - recently hailed by James Milner as 'brilliant' - posted the following message on Instagram:

"It's one of those games you dream of as a little boy! Totally focused on Liverpool FC vs. Manchester United! We are ready and it will be a great fight tonight and hopefully 3 more points for us".

This certainly sounds like someone who's excited about being told he's starting tonight's game, and I fully expect to see Can in the starting lineup.

Even if Lallana and Wijnaldum were 100% fit, I'd still start Can as Liverpool will benefit from having a physical presence in midfield to combat the likes of Pogba, and Fellaini (if he plays).

Can is also insists that Liverpool can contain Pogba and Ibrahimovic, and in a weekend interview with the club's official site, he explained:

"We have a very strong squad. They [Ibra and Pgba] are both very good players, we know that, but we have bought very good players as well. We are confident enough and we want to win the game.”

If Can plays a holding role, I just hope he remains disciplined.
