Liverpool XI vs. Swansea: Klopp drops €23m star; new injury blow; bad news for Sturridge?

Liverpool face Swansea City tomorrow, and Reds boss Jurgen Klopp will be desperate to banish the memory of last season's pitiful 3-1 defeat at the Liberty Stadium.

Pre-match news:

* Klopp on Origi: “Divock got a little knock: on his foot and we had to do a few more assessments. Maybe it’s a little bit too short a period until the game, but we have to see.”

* Klopp on Swansea: "They are a good football-playing side with a clear plan and different options in their style of play, good defending. We know about the quality of Swansea".

* Klopp on Karius "He Karius can play against Swansea again, I already spoke to the goalkeepers, they know it".

* Jan Molby's view: "I look at Hull and don't see where their threat is, but with Swansea, I see Sigurdsson, Fer and Llorente, who is a striker with qualities".

* John Aldridge's view: "It was a horrible game at Swansea last season. This weekend is about payback and showing the Swansea fans that this is a new Liverpool team".

Once again, Daniel Sturridge is a key selection issue: should Klopp stick with the same starting line-up that annihilated Hull, or should he bring Sturridge back into the team? Probable line-up:

------------- Karius
Clyne -- Lovren -- Matip ---- Milner
---- Lallana - Hendo - Wijnaldum
----- Mane - Firmino -- Coutinho

Predicting a 2-0 victory for Liverpool, Reds legend Mark Lawrenson told the BBC:

"Liverpool do not have a great record at the Liberty Stadium - they have only won once in five previous visits - but I think that will change on Saturday".

In his pre-match press conference, Klopp insisted that Liverpool have 'absolutely no excuses' to underperform against Swansea this season, and based on the club's current form, the Reds surely have to be favourites to win the game.
