'New Bale to Anfield'? Liverpool keen to sign record-breaking £5m sensation. Contact made already

Liverpool are reportedly considering a January move for Fulham sensation Ryan Sessegnon.

According to the Daily Express this week:

* Liverpool, Tottenham, Man United and Arsenal are all 'interested' in signing Sessegnon.

* All four clubs have made official 'enquiries' about the £5m-rated attacker.

Some info about Sessegnon:

* 16-year old left-back, who can also play as a left-winger. 2 goals/1 assist in 6 apps for Fulham so far.

* Nicknamed the 'new Gareth Bale' (along with about a thousand other teenage attackers).

* Jan 2016: Fulham rejected a deadline-day bid from Arsenal.

* Aug 2016: Became the youngest goalscorer in the history of the Championship.

* Sep 2016: Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic enthused: "We try to protect him – he is only 16 and a few months. Generally, we believe he has a very bright future. Always when I give him the chance, he is performing at a good level".

Meh. It's hard to get excited about a 16-year old with just 6 senior appearances to his name. Sessegnon should stay at Fulham for a few more years and learn the game, but like so many starry-eyed youngsters, he'll probably follow the money all the way to big club obscurity.
