Boss raves: 'Fantastic' €18m sensation who wants to 'play for Liverpool' has 'enormous potential'. Sign?

Liverpool continue to be linked with a move for River Plate sensation Lucas Alario, and according to Argentina boss Edgardo Bauza, the 23-year old striker is on his way to the top.

Earlier this month, Spanish newspaper Marca claimed that Liverpool, Spurs, and Benfica are all interested in signing Alario, who has an €18m release clause in his contract.

When asked this week about Alario, Bauza enthused:

“Lucas Alario is the No 9 of the future. He has enormous potential for growth and a very big capacity for learning, and he will improve."

Some info about Alario, recently described by River Plate boss Marcelo Gallardo as 'fantastic':

* Centre-forward, who can also play as a secondary striker, or a left-winger. Current contract expires in 2018.

* 24 goals/assists in 33 apps for River Plate (One every 122 mins)

* Apart from a dislocated shoulder earlier last season, Alario has remained injury free since 2011.

* Feb 2016: Alario told Argentine TV Show TyC Sports: "I'd like to experience the Premier League, and I'd like to play for Liverpool".

* Mar 2016: Argentine news portal Infobae claimed that River Plate rejected Liverpool's £6m offer.

Like Marko Grujic, Alario is cheap, comparatively unknown, and under the radar, which means he fits Jurgen Klopp's (historical) transfer template. A viable future option?
