Henry Raves: 'Amazing' £125k-a-week Liverpool star can outshine 'Zlatan and Pogba' this season. Agree?

Rejoice! The Premier League is back this weekend, and anticipation is building ahead of Liverpool's opening game against Arsenal on Sunday. All eyes will be on the league's most high-profile new recruits, such as Paul Pogba, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but over the season, Gunners legend Thierry Henry is expecting Reds attacker Sadio Mane^ to upstage them both.

When asked this week who he thinks will light up the Premier League this season, Henry told Sky Sports:

"There's the usual suspects like Zlatan and Pogba, but the outsider for me is Sadio Mane. I want to see how he is going to do and with the way Liverpool play I think he could have a very good season and be a crowd favourite".

I've highlighted Mane's inconsistency several times this summer, but overall there's no denying that he is a potentially exciting player, and like Henry, I'm interested to see how he performs in Klopp's system.

My expectations for Mane this season:

* All Competitions: 25-30 goals/assists.

* Premier League: 20-25 goals/assists.

Mane got 24 goals/assists last season (18 goals/assisst in the league), so considering he'll be playing under an alleged 'world-class' manager, alongside (arguably) better players, I submit that these expectations are fair and achievable.

With any luck, Mane will start paying back his massive £34m transfer fee against Arsenal on Sunday.

^ Reportedly on £125k-a-week. Hailed last week by Carra for his 'really amazing' performance against Barcelona.
