Deal Agreed: World-Class' £20m attacker who 'dreams' of Liverpool transfer close to signing for West Ham

Last week, The Telegraph claimed that Liverpool were considering a late bid for Swansea attacker Andew Ayew, but new reports today suggest that the Reds are once again set to miss out on the self-confessed Liverpool fan.

In April, Ayew's brother, Ibrahim, told Ghana Web:

"He [Ayew] was up for only £5m, but no-one was really willing to pay. Liverpool pulled back.”

Soon after, ExcelFoot's Mark McKay (who negotiated Ayew's Swansea transfer) added:

"It's always been Andre's dream to play for Liverpool, but they opted to pursue other targets".

The Daily Mail then claimed:

"Ayew^ was so keen to play for Liverpool that he offered to play without wages until January [2016]".

Well, it looks like Ayew will have to keep dreaming of Anfield. According to Sky Sports 'sources':

"Sky sources understand West Ham have agreed a fee with Swansea for forward Andre Ayew. The deal is worth £20m and Ayew will have a medical this weekend".

Sky reporter Kaveh Solhekol added:

"West Ham agree £20m deal with Swansea for Andre Ayew. Medical this weekend".

Liverpool's reluctance to take the plunge on Ayew remains a mystery, especially in light of the following:

"Jurgen Klopp has made Andre Ayew one of his top transfer targets, sources have told ESPN. Klopp is a big admirer of Ayew and twice tried to sign him when he was in charge of Borussia Dortmund".

Ayew is only 26, so perhaps he'll get his dream move in the future? For now, another one bites the dust.
