Anfield-bound? 'Incredible' €9m star responds to 'Liverpool' rumours'; confirms transfer may happen 'when an offer' arrives

Liverpool continue to be linked with a move for 'incredible' Cologne star Timo Horn, and coveted 'stopper' has now given his strongest indication yet that he is open to a transfer this summer.

In April, Kicker claimed that Horn is 'likely' to sign for Liverpool this year, and when asked over the weekend about the possibility of a move to Anfield, Horn told Bild:

"There is still no concrete offer from Liverpool. I have always said that I will sit down to address my future when an offer from a top club comes".

Liverpool have been chasing Horn for a while, and in 2014, he confirmed the Reds' interest:

"It's great to awaken the interest of Liverpool, but it's not the right time for me to consider it."

Some info about Horn, whose current contract (which contains a €9m buyout clause) expires in 2019:

* Cologne Stats: 135 goals conceded in 141 games (0.9 per game/1 every 94 minutes). 54 clean sheets (38% of games)

* Mignolet: 170 goals conceded in 147 games (One every 78 mins). 48 clean sheets (32% of games overall)

* Harald Schumacher's assessment: "We always had players who control the ball and  attack quickly, so getting the ball to them [quickly] was always important. Timo does this superbly".

Distribution is one of Mignolet's weaknesses, and it sounds like Horn is comfortable on the ball, and excels at playing out of defence, which is something Liverpool need at the back.

A viable replacement?
