LFC Lineup: John Aldridge reveals his Liverpool XI for Villareal; insists 'Can' is needed if fit

Jurgen Klopp's starting XI for tonight's clash with Villareal continues to be the focus of intense interest, and Liverpool fans are waiting with bated breath to see who makes the cut. Will Sturridge be on the bench again? Will Emre Can return to the starting line-up? Ahead of the game, Reds legend John Aldridge has revealed his preferred lineup for the match, and Sturridge is right where he deserves to be: spearheading Liverpool's attack.

Speaking to LFC TV today, Aldo - who correctly predicted the starting XI for Sunday's game at Swansea - insisted that Emre Can should start if fit:

"To be fair, he [Can] has only been out for a couple of weeks, and we need his height and presence".

On Liverpool's front three:

"There's goals with Sturridge. Coutinho gives us goals, and Firmino gets you a goal, if not a performance".

On the defence:

"The back five is obvious at this moment in time. Milner's been playing well of late, and the rest looks after itself".

Aldo's predicted XI:

This is the team I hope to see, but I suspect that Klopp will go with this team:

---------------- Klopp
Clyne --- Lovren --- Toure ---- Moreno
----- Milner -- Lucas - Can
-------- Lallana^ --- Coutinho
-------------- Firmino

Which is the better lineup?

^ Cost £26m
