Anfield Blow: Klopp confirms injuries to 'incredible' Liverpool striker and £65k-a-week Reds powerhouse

Prior to Jordan Henderson's injury, Liverpool's injury problems appeared to be easing, but the problems are mounting up again, and after Emre Can's season-ending ankle issue this week, Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that two more players have suffered new injury issues.

Speaking to reporters after Liverpool's comfortable 2-0 victory over Bournemouth, Klopp noted:

"He [Origi] got a knock to his back. He was able to carry on, but I asked him after the game and he told me he had a knock to his back. Hopefully it's not serious.”

Kolo Toure* left the field early with a suspected hamstring injury, and according to Klopp:

“Kolo's problem is a little bit more. It's the muscle, but in the last few months Kolo has not had any problems with his muscles, so hopefully it's not too serious either.”

The last time Klopp suggested that an injury might not be 'too serious', Daniel Sturridge spent five weeks on the sidelines; hopefully, that won't be the case with Origi and Toure.

Origi^, especially, is in a great run of form, and it'll be a shame if his momentum is curtailed at such a crucial stage of the season.

The good news is that Sturridge is maintaining his fitness (I can't remember the last time I wrote those words), and with Firmino also fit again, Liverpool are well covered up-front.

^ Ridiculously described last week by Joe Allen as 'incredible all year'.

* Reportedly on £65k-a-week. Hailed by Jamie Carragher as 'magnificent'.
