'Excellent Win': Rush, Sturridge, Henry etc hail 'outstanding' Liverpool victory. Aldo 'gutted' by new injury blow

Another fantastic victory for Liverpool tonight, and here is a selection of post-match reaction from the game.

* Jurgen Klopp: "First half it was a derby, we had the moments, but could have done better. We lost patience in the wrong moments. Second half changed completely with the red card. It wasn't easy for Everton. We could have had more".

* Daniel Sturridge: "It was a great ball from Lucas for the first one and obviously Phil's shot and it's hit me, so it's my goal".

* David Thompson: "How many assists has James Milner got now? [Answer: 14] Awesome bit of business that".

* Ian Rush: "Enjoyed that. Great team performance!"

* Linda Henry: "Emphatic derby victory! Clean sheet, 4 goals, dominant".

* Neil Mellor: "Outstanding entertainment from Liverpool tonight".

* John Aldridge: "Excellent win could and should have been more, but let's not get greedy. I'm just gutted for Origi, as he has been brilliant".

* Re Origi's injury: after the game, Klopp confirmed: “Everybody thought maybe it’s broken, but it’s not. The ankle is twisted so we have to wait to see what happens to the ligaments”.

The injury is bad news for Origi, but with Daniel Sturridge and Firmino available, Liverpool are well covered up-front. Ultimately, a great night's work for the Reds, and after four wins in a row (and 14 goals scored in the process), things are look ominous for Rafa Benitez ahead of his return to Anfield this weekend.
