Confirmed Team News: £42m-duo out of Liverpool/Man Utd game; full squad confirmed for MU

After seemingly pulling his hamstring in training, Liverpool will probably be without Alberto Moreno for tonight's Europa League game, but the good news is that Manchester United also have injury/fitness issues, and two of the club's most consistent performers are now out of tonight's game.

According to the Manchester Evening News:

"Daley Blind and Ander Herrera^ are out of Man Utd's Europa League match with Liverpool".

Man Utd have also revealed their full matchday squad:

* De Gea, Romero, Valencia, Darmian, Varela, Smalling, Williams, Borthwick-Jackson, Rojo, Schneiderlin, Fellaini, Carrick, Lingard, Mata, Memphis, Martial, Rashford, Schweinsteiger.

Statistically, Blind was one of Man Utd's best defensive players in the first leg, but Herrera played just eleven minutes of the game, and barely made an impression.

Looking at Man Utd's squad, there's absolutely nothing to fear, and I maintain the view that it's the most pedestrian set of Utd players since the 1980s. That means nothing for a one-off game, though, and the last thing Liverpool need is for complacency to rear its ugly head.

Even with such an average squad, Utd are *above* Liverpool in the Premier League table, and if Van Gaal's team somehow contrive to win tonight's game, it'll be (IMO) one of the embarrassments of the season.

^ Herrera: Cost £28m. Blind: Cost £14m. Combined total = £42m
