Anfield Stunner: 'Miracle' £37m striker wanted by Liverpool confirms 'text' contact with Klopp.

Another day, another development in the Mario Gotze transfer saga, and the latest comments from Bayern Munich's 'miracle boy' suggest that he's still close to Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp. Advantage LFC?

In an interview on Monday with ZDF TV, €50m-rated^ Gotze noted:

"We [he and Klopp] text now and again. He was my coach at BVB. It [a move away] hinges on many factors. Everything else will show in the future”

Recent transfer timeline:

* Jan 2016: When asked about Liverpool, Gotze told reporters: "Ask Klopp if he wants me at Liverpool. If he wants me, he should approach me".

* Mar 2016: Sky Sports claimed: "Mario Gotze is being watched by Liverpool and Bayern are willing to offload him".

Mar 2016: ESPN reported: "Bayern are fed up with Gotze and are ready to sell".

* Mar 2016: When asked over the weekend about signing for Liverpool, Gotze cryptically replied: "You should ask Jurgen."

In the same interview with ZDF (referenced above), Gotze denied that he'd discussed a transfer to Liverpool during his text contact with Klopp, but what else is he going to say?

If Gotze publicly admitted to transfer discussions, he'd leave the Reds open to accusations of 'tapping-up', and he's clearly smarter than that.
