Confirmed Liverpool Team: £45m-duo return; 'fantastic' signing snubbed; triple surprise on the bench

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has (ill-advisedly) decided to rush Mamadou Sakho back into the starting lineup for tonight's Premier League clash with Arsenal.

FULL TEAM: Mignolet, Clyne, Toure, Sakho, Moreno, Henderson, Milner, Can, Lallana, Ibe, Firmino.

SUBS: Ward, Caulker, Smith, Lucas, Allen, Teixeira, Benteke.

ARSENAL: Cech, Bellerin, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Monreal, Flamini, Ramsey, Campbell, Ozil, Walcott, Giroud

* What is the point in signing Steven Caulker to ease the injury strain on the squad if Klopp then chooses to rush Sakho back from injury?! Klopp did the same for the Watford game, and Sakho got annihilated, and delivered his worst performance in a Liverpool shirt.

* Caulker is fully-fit, and has never had a serious and/or long-term injury. In my view, he should've gone straight into the starting line-up. That hasn't happened, which suggests to me that Klopp doesn't trust him enough, and that ultimately begs the question: why sign Caulker in the first place?

* Klopp has also rushed Hendo back into the team, which could (again) lead to another injury recurrence. Playing Allen - who put in a man-of-the-match performance against Stoke - arguably makes more sense.

* Good to see Smith and Teixeira on the bench. Both had good games against Exeter, and hopefully Teixeira will get a chance to show what he can do in a Premier League game.

* It looks like Firmino will be up-front again, which is probably the right decision. I'm a fan of Benteke, but the plain fact is Liverpool look more fluid without him.

* Danny Ward goes straight onto the bench in place of Bogdan. Clearly, Klopp has seen enough (!)

It won't surprise me in the slightest to see Sakho pick up another injury in this game, and with Sakho/Toure at the back, I have a feeling this is going to be an uncomfortable evening for Liverpool.
