Contact Made: Liverpool in talks to sign 'incredible' €25m international with 'lightning pace'

With Alberto Moreno, Nathaniel Clyne, Jon Flanagan, Brad Smith, and Conor Randall in the squad, Liverpool appear to be well-covered in the full-back positions, but new reports over the weekend suggest that Jurgen Klopp still wants to strengthen in that area.

On Saturday, CalcioNews24 claimed that:

* Liverpool have opened transfer talks with FC Lorient regarding the transfer of left-back Raphael Guerreiro.

* Napoli, Inter Milan, Roma and Juventus are all also interested.

Some info about Guerreiro:

* Left back, who, according to Caen youth coach, Philippe Tranchant, 'can play almost anywhere', including left or right wing. Contract expires: June 2017

* 15 goals/assists in 93 games for Lorient (One every 514 minutes). 3 appearances for the Portugal national team.

* Jun 2014: Caen youth coach Patrice Garande raved: "Guerreiro has incredible potential, and is very versatile. I am not surprised by his progress. The boy will have a great career"

* Aug 2015: Lorient president Loic Fery insisted that Guerreiro 'is worth €25m' in the transfer market, and admitted that he is available 'for the right price'.

* Four Four Two Magazine's assessment: "Rarely caught out of position, he [Guerreiro] has the legs and the stamina to get up and down the flank with ease, and the lightning pace to recover and attack".

Liverpool may be interested, but even if Guerreiro signs for the Reds, it'll only be a stepping stone for him until he achieves his real dream:

"My dream is to play for Real Madrid. When you’re a footballer you can’t be indifferent to the history of that club".

Is full-back a priority position to fill at the moment?
