Who is the Premier League's signing of the season so far? There are plenty of options, including Dimitri Payet, Petr Cech, and Yohann Cabaye, but according to Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher, there's one player in the league who trumps the lot.
In his column for the Daily Mail this week, Carra named £60m Leicester City midfielder 'N'Golo Kante as the 'best signing' of the summer. He explained:
"Kante has been just as influential as Mahrez and Jamie Vardy in Leicester’s rise to the top and another feather in the cap of their scouting department".
England legend Gary Lineker agrees with Carra, and in mid-December, he enthused:
"Many deserved plaudits for Vardy and Mahrez, but if there has been a better signing than Kante this season, I haven't seen him".
Claudio Ranieri certainly thinks highly of Kante. In a recent interview, he compared Kante to Claude Makalele, and explained why he's such a good player:
"He [Kante] is fantastic because he reads the situation very well. He attracts the ball.
"He is very smart and very fast in his movement. Sometimes I put him in wide positions just because I want him on the pitch".
Despite Leicester's defeat at Anfield, Kante - who cost Leicester €8m - acquitted himself well against Liverpool, but how did he compare to Emre Can on the day?
