I 'dream' of LFC: Inter sensation confirms he wants to 'play for Liverpool'. Sign?

Despite the club's 25-year failure to win the league, Liverpool remains a prestige destination for many footballers, and Inter Milan central defender Isaac Donkor is the latest player to publicly reveals his desire to play for LFC.

Speaking to Inter Milan's official website this week, Donkor - currently on loan at Bari - enthused:

"My dream is to play for Liverpool in England. I hope one day to achieve that".

Some info about Donkor:

* 20-year old centre-back, who can also play at right or left-back.

* Inter contact expires in June 2017.

* 5 senior appearance for Inter (Serie A, and the Europa League).

* 10 apps for various Ghana youth teams.

* Jan 2015: Sent off on his Inter debut (against Sassuolo) for two bookable offences.

* Despite that setback, Donkor raved: "It was an incredible feeling to make my Inter debut – it was the realisation of a dream I’d had since I was a boy".

* Oct 2015: After his debut for Bari, he told reporters: "After the game I received compliments from my family and my friends, but they are always there. I am not at my best yet, but I always train well".

* On his football role model: "My idol? Walter Samuel, because he won everything there is to win and was a fantastic player".

* ESPN's assessment: "He [Donkor] has plenty of room for improvement but his indecisiveness in defence is off-set by his pace, strength and passing ability".

'Indecisiveness' in defence? Donkor will need to eradicate that before moving to the Premier League, but at the age of 20, he has time on his side.
