Anfield Boost: Agent confirms transfer for 'immense' €20m Liverpool target 'could happen' soon

In July, the Agent of PSG star Lucas Digne 'confirmed' that Liverpool are 'tracking' the 21-year old full-back, and new developments this week suggest that a move away from Paris is definitely on the cards.

In June, French newspaper L'Equipe claimed that Liverpool made an official 'enquiry' about €20m-rated Digne.

Soon after, PSG boss Laurent Blanc confirmed that Digne wants out of the club:

"It is he [Digne] who very clearly asked to leave'. For now, he is with us, he is very professional, he trains very well and has prepared excellently"

Latest developments:

*Aug 2015: Digne's Agent, Mikkel Beck, told Elkstra Bladet"Something could happen. There is interest from several major championships. We have to see if it will happen, but we're working on it [a transfer] now."

Aug 2015: In a separate interview, Beck made it emphatically clear that Digne wants out: "Lucas will no longer waste time. He wants to re-join the France squad, and that can only happen with game time. He must play in a big club and have a starting spot.”

Aug 2015: PSG are reportedly willing to let Digne leave on loan, with a view to a permanent move at the end of the upcoming season.

This seems like a match made in heaven.

Liverpool's options at left back are slim right now, and with Alberto Moreno failing to impress, there's clearly a chance for someone to come in and stake a claim for a regular starting spot.

Jose Enrique is a dead man walking at Anfield, Jon Flanagan is injury-prone, and Joe Gomez is too young, so if Digne comes to Anfield, he'll almost certainly get the regular game time that he craves.

Some info about Digne, hailed as an 'immense hope of French football' by PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi:

* Left-back who can also play left-midfield.

* A measly 44 appearances in 2 seasons for PSG (average of 22 apps per year)

* 8 apps for the France national team.

* 2013: Helped France win the U20 World Cup.

* Recently lost his place in the France team as a result of reduced playing time at PSG.

* Only one significant injury so far (sprained ankle last season)

Should Liverpool make Digne a transfer priority?
