Confirmed lineup vs. Arsenal: £26m star out; surprise on bench; Humiliation for Balotelli

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has named what appears to be a defensively-minded team for this afternoon's crunch-clash with Arsenal.

There are no less than six defensive-minded players in the starting line-up:

FULL TEAM: Mignolet, Can, Toure, Sakho, Allen, Lucas, Moreno, Henderson, Coutinho, Markovic, Sterling

SUBS: Jones, Johnson, Lovren, Sturridge, Manquillo, Borini, Brannagan

ARSENAL: Ospina, Bellerin, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal, Coquelin, Cazorla, Ramsey, Ozil, Alexis, Giroud

SUBS: Macey, Gibbs, Gabriel, Flamini, Rosicky, Walcott, Welbeck

* Sturridge clearly isn't fit enough to make the starting line-up. Given his proclivity for injury, it's probably a good idea to be cautious.

* Lallana is not in the squad, so he probably didn't pass a fitness test.

* Balotelli not in the squad again? Is he 'ill' again? If not, it's humiliation for the Italian as ORdgers has chosen an untested youngster for a spot on the bench instead of him.

Based on the personnel, it looks like Rodgers could switch formations and go with 4231:

--------------- Mignolet

Can ------ Toure ------ Sakho ----- Moreno

------------ Lucas ---- Allen

--- Markovic ----- Hendo ------ Coutinho

----------------- Sterling

The other alternative is 343, but with Hendo alongside Coutinho

--------------- Mignolet

----- Can ------ Toure ------ Sakho

Markovic -- Lucas ---- Allen ---- Moreno

----------- Hendo ------ Coutinho

----------------- Sterling

My prediction: 2-1 Arsenal.

  1. Today Rodgers is either going to show that he does in fact have a plan or is out of his depth.

Really hoping for a win but if he has not changed things up then I fear Arsenal are going to hammer us.

    I hope it is 433:

    ......................................Sterling
    .................Coutinho........................Markovic
    ..........................................henderson
    ................................Allen.....................Lucas
    ....................Moreno........Sakho.........Toure......Can
    ............................................Mignolet

If it is 343 it proves Rodgers is not good enough to maange lfc
keeping the same formation that has been found out by Balckburn,SWANSEA and Man united

  3. For Rodger its a must win match.. top 4 finish wont be achieved else.

It is a fight for our status with Arsenal as well

    Suarez
    Sanchez
    and now Sterling
is showing Arsenal are slowly taking our perch just like Ferguson did with Man united

    ReplyDelete
  5. Would that be the same formation that turned the team's fortunes around after a slow start? Love it how after one defeat everyone is back on Rodgers' back.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Blackburn and Swansea had has us figured out.

    Top mangers

Change teams and formation based on
    teh opposition

rodgers keeps the same system until it becomes completely redundant

    look at diamond
    433

    and now 343

    ReplyDelete
  8. 343 has picked up our season a few ordinary results can be over looked overall just remember the players have some responsibility in these performances too particularly the last one.

Mate i respect you , you are always civil.

    ReplyDelete
  10. With the players that have been selected I would go with

    ----------Mignolet------------
    Can Toure Sakho Moreno
    ---Hendo--Lucas--Allen----
    ------------Coutinho----------
    -----Sterling-------Markovic-

That is what I am hoping to see

  11. Rodgers has used various systems to get the best out of the players at his disposal. How do you know the system is defunct until it stops working...? i.e. why fix it if it isn't broken. The system wasn't at fault against Utd, they wanted it more and dominated midfield. We were poor, that was down to the players desire in my opinion. Never helps when you lose a player to a red card either...Pretty certain we beat Swansea and the Blackburn game came was the third in 7 days.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Sorry for the negativity but there is absolutely no way we are going to win today, just have this gut instinct.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Bit confused with the team but hey, this is one match the result would just matter, 3-2 to LFC.....! Any other result = Yikes!

  14. Nevergonnacrackthecode12:25 pm, April 04, 2015

    There was no midfield

    the analysis showed

Man united squeezed the middle of the park this took Coutinho,Lalllana and Hendo out the agme

Moreno and Sterling got a lots of the ball but had to put crossed in as there was no option in midfield
to pass back into and link play up with.

It looks a through plan to me

The guys t TIA think it is a diamond formation

    ReplyDelete
  17. Be careful. You will be told you are not a fan of this club.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Weren't yoo the ball boy?

    ReplyDelete
  19. I'm not saying it doesn't necessarily need to change, but you can't tell something is done and dusted till it stops working. The players do need to take responsibility for the Utd game as they failed to impose themselves. How come Gerrard went steaming through Mata (completely fairly) when he came on, and no one else showed that kind of desire in the first half. Other players should stand up and do the same. I think it is very dangerous to suggest that Rodgers is out of his depth - he has made several changes formation-wise to the team since he came in which have improved us. At least he has the ideas and balls to change things around unlike a certain Spanish coach just under a mile away.

  20. I am worried Arsenal are playing well JKs 2-1 prediction has calmed my nerves somewhat.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Who is on our bench? An unfit Sturridge, Borini who has barely played and Brannagan. Arsenal are not unbeatable my any means but we have to do it iwth the first team

    ReplyDelete
  22. Nevergonnacrackthecode12:40 pm, April 04, 2015

When are the fans going to turn on the owners?

They were quite quick to latch on to Hicks and Gillet

    ReplyDelete
  23. New formation this is what i have been hoping for.

    ReplyDelete
  24. My prediction is Liverpool will win to nil ! The 'boy who loves to play football' to score the only goal. He's looking for a new club so will want to impress ;)

    ReplyDelete
  25. ...What are you doing Toure?

    ReplyDelete
  26. What is up with them today?

    ReplyDelete
  27. Maybe Rodgers should go to a back 4?

All three of the previous teams figured us out but guess what, Rodgers persists. Same old same old.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Oh f*** off you miserable old git. No one has time for your perpetual need to prove a point about Rodgers. Our formation has nothing to do with our players losing concentration and taking stupid risks

    ReplyDelete
  29. No you go F*** yourself.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Getting battered!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Too slow in midfield.

    ReplyDelete
  32. And you can't even use the silly 'don't read my post' excuse this time. You replied to me.

    ReplyDelete
  33. everybody knows how to counter 3 at the back, no presence in midfield, no strikers on the pitch
    just a few points
arsenal are the leagues most in form team atm

    ReplyDelete
  34. As usual you chose the insulting route though as always.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I called you an old git. How f***ing hurtful. Stop crying.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Ha, go look at nick1811's reply to me.

Bet he is going to say the same to you.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Calm down chaps. BOTH OF YOU used unnecessary gutter language. It's all hands on deck the boys will need it today.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Give me your postal address, I will ship off that dildo to you straight away.

    ReplyDelete
  39. well you know I don't agree with you too often ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  40. Unlike you, DerBaumMann isn't annoying.

    ReplyDelete
  41. balotelli should be on the bench over borini.
to be honest i'd have also played johnson

    ReplyDelete
  42. Looking better now anyway lads.

    ReplyDelete
  43. OH FOR CHRIST'S SAKE MARKOVIC!!!!!!!! HE HAS NO END PRODUCT

    ReplyDelete
  44. Markovic deserves a slap!

    ReplyDelete
  45. HOW F***ING HARD IS IT. HOW MUCH IS HE PAID TO DO THAT?!

    ReplyDelete
  46. We're battering 'em

    ReplyDelete
  47. it's getting slightly better
what do you say guys 4:0 after 20 minutes still achieveable?

    ReplyDelete
  48. So Rodgers ditches 3 at the back and we are already looking better. Up your's Nick.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Well ill throw in 2 eggs and a tomato.

    tOO SCARED

    ReplyDelete
  51. COME ON MARKOVIC
    i just can't see his talent,I can't see it

    ReplyDelete
  52. ABSOLUTELY INCENSES ME THAT HE CAN SCREW THAT UP

    ReplyDelete
  53. we have no striker on the pitch

    ReplyDelete
  54. I still question his technique

    ReplyDelete
  55. Wow my non-insult penetrated you harder than you intend that dildo to.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Nevergonnacrackthecode1:08 pm, April 04, 2015

I am all for giving players chances

but i dont see any future
    for
    balotelli,Markovic and Lovren

    ReplyDelete
  57. just imagine having sturridge/balo insted of markovic up front. sterling and sturridge would have finished that off easily

    ReplyDelete
  58. yeah f*** of sterling. that shot is worth 20K a week.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Nevergonnacrackthecode1:10 pm, April 04, 2015

    Did Sterling visit Rodgers dentist

    ReplyDelete
  60. Nevergonnacrackthecode1:11 pm, April 04, 2015

Sterling has new set of teeth
he has got rid of that gap in teh middle
    and whitened it

    ReplyDelete
  61. Now we are playing with 5 at the back. So now it is about hitting them on the counter. If we had stuck with 3 at the back Arsenal would have been ahead already.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Nevergonnacrackthecode1:13 pm, April 04, 2015

    No Mamadou Sakho injury
    pls

  65. Nevergonnacrackthecode1:16 pm, April 04, 2015

    Give Sterling that contract

    Him , Can and Coutinho
    are worlds apart

    ReplyDelete
  66. We're playing 3 at the back, stop trying to save face

    ReplyDelete
  67. haven't you watched his latest interview? he clearly isn't interested in signing a new contract at the moment.
+ what has he done to be 'worlds apart'?
Henderson, Sakho, Skrtel are far more important than him

    ReplyDelete
  68. Nevergonnacrackthecode1:19 pm, April 04, 2015

  70. Nicolas Chamberlain1:19 pm, April 04, 2015

Rodgers prefers Borini in stead of Balotelli...
    Madness!
Markovic need to raise up his game. That pass to Sterling was beyond ridicilous. We are playing well but with Sterling up front we are toothless.

    ReplyDelete
  71. And Sterling believes he is worth more than £100k a week based on this performance??

    ReplyDelete
  72. Nevergonnacrackthecode1:20 pm, April 04, 2015

    To the rest
henderson looks so poor as does markovic

    ReplyDelete
  73. Go watch the game when we are in our half of the pitch.

    ReplyDelete
  74. why do i even reply to you?

    ReplyDelete
  75. Nevergonnacrackthecode1:21 pm, April 04, 2015

well he is our only attacking threat

liverpool can sell him for 30m

    BUT WHAT IF
    WE BUY ANOTHER LAZAR MARKOVIC?

    ReplyDelete
  76. Nicolas Chamberlain1:21 pm, April 04, 2015

Sterling is still developing. I really hope we can keep him but after his latest interview maybe we should sell him after all, but only to a foreign club.

    ReplyDelete
  77. f*** you markovic. Because you can't excecute a simple f***ing lay off we're losing

    ReplyDelete
  78. Nicolas Chamberlain1:22 pm, April 04, 2015

Shocking defending. Even Bellerin can score...
    FFS.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Theycallmemrburt1:22 pm, April 04, 2015

too deep. we're not engaging them in midfield again. The players are mentally weak.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Moreno costing us a goal AGAIN poor defending

    ReplyDelete
  81. Nicolas Chamberlain1:24 pm, April 04, 2015

True that. At this level this is totally unacceptable.
We are looking like a youth team when we are in attack.

    ReplyDelete
  82. OH FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE

    ReplyDelete

    He should have save that.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Theycallmemrburt1:26 pm, April 04, 2015

today could be payback like a MF for our 5-1 bashing

    ReplyDelete
  88. OH F*** OFF TOURE

    ReplyDelete
  89. Markovic is such a waste of bloody space. If the guy can't gain enough composure to provide a simple f***ing pass to a team mate then he's not yet fit for this level. I'm sorry.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Theycallmemrburt1:28 pm, April 04, 2015

the problem we have now is toure is as bad in a back three as Skrtel is in a back four.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Nicolas Chamberlain1:28 pm, April 04, 2015

You are by far the most annoying guy on this forum.
Do you even support our club? You are always burning players even the ones that don't deserve it.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Rodgers deserves the red carpet treatment for going into the game with the same approach as we saw vs Blackburn, Swansea and UTD.

    However, let's blame the players?

    ReplyDelete
  93. Nevergonnacrackthecode1:29 pm, April 04, 2015

    EXACTLY

    ReplyDelete
  94. I f***ing knew Markovic's f*** up would come back to bite us. He plays like a boy.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Yes that chance could have changed the match

    ReplyDelete
  96. Nevergonnacrackthecode1:30 pm, April 04, 2015

    This is all FSG fault.

tehy want to keep developing young players
rather then sign proper quality like Ozil and Sanchez

    ReplyDelete
  97. Nicolas Chamberlain1:30 pm, April 04, 2015

It was such a simple pass.
Markovic is destined to be 20M down the drain.

    ReplyDelete
  98. bloody hell, my connection broke down and now were 2:0 behind?
    what the f happened?

    ReplyDelete
  99. Toure has had an absolute shocker. Serious investment is required in our defence. Markovic been poor too

    ReplyDelete
  100. Nicolas Chamberlain1:31 pm, April 04, 2015

    Well this escalated quickly.
We are in for a very long 45 minutes.
Mignolet should have save this as well.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Nicolas Chamberlain1:32 pm, April 04, 2015

    Please shut up.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Nevergonnacrackthecode1:32 pm, April 04, 2015

    goodbye Sterling and Coutinho

    ReplyDelete
  103. we need players mentally fit to handle the top level. I don't care how old he is, you simply don't butcher chances like that. And he has form with it, the guy completely lacks any composure.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Nevergonnacrackthecode1:33 pm, April 04, 2015

This is revenge served cold : (

    ReplyDelete
  105. S T F U you I D I O T
stop bombing us with your nonsense-postings.

FSG tried to sign Sanchez in summer

    ReplyDelete
  106. We don't deserve CL. This is what you get when you rely in a 20y/o kid to score all your goals.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Oh and you want Rodgers and the transfer committee to sign more square pegs for round holes?

    ReplyDelete
  108. who cares about sterling, coutinho is underrated he'll probably stay

    ReplyDelete
  109. Nevergonnacrackthecode1:34 pm, April 04, 2015

I am the most passionate of all of you
    I want quality like Torres,Alonso,Mascherano
    gerrard

    ReplyDelete
  110. The thing with Markovic is he had done nothin in Portugal and we paid 20 mill for the dope.

    ReplyDelete
  111. it's funny how we're saying this every season

    ReplyDelete
  112. Well as hard as it for me to say this...I'm sticking with LoganLfc..

    ReplyDelete
  113. Nevergonnacrackthecode1:36 pm, April 04, 2015

Why not offer substantially more wages?

    ReplyDelete
  114. Nicolas Chamberlain1:36 pm, April 04, 2015

The reality is that we are under construction.
That is unacceptable after last season but its just the way things are. Have some patience mate.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Theycallmemrburt1:36 pm, April 04, 2015

we looked at our best with Henderson and Lucas in the middle of the park for much of our unbeaten run. Not to blame Allen but he shouldn't have started today.... but according to Rodgers he had to be accommodated. Two out and out holding mids is a no no

    ReplyDelete
  116. Done watching right now. What a friggin farce. And where is our 100k a week is not enough man. Sell the stuck up punk off asap this summer. Just don't give the money to Rodgers. If we're not careful we can say goodbye to Coutinho too and be left with a team of sicknotes and crocks. Rodgers deserves all the credit in the world for changing the system but with injuries and suspensions now the money he's wasted over the past three years is coming back to haunt us big time. I'm fine with him managing the team but someone else has to come in and decide on the players because that whole committee is clueless. And Sterling's next offer should be 0.00 a week. Arrogant little gobshite. He can go and do a Torres and warm the bench somewhere.

    ReplyDelete
  117. we did according to Sanchez himself

    ReplyDelete
  118. I retract my statement from yesterday Jaimie, maybe Skrtel is the glue that holds us together

    ReplyDelete
  119. whoa sterling is really showing why he needs to be top earner. way to change the game, or even be visible. i think kolo played himself out of contract

    ReplyDelete
  120. My very first comment on this thread was that Rodgers is either going to have a plan or be out of his depth.

We started the match with the plan that has been proven to be figured out. That surely makes him out of his depth?

    ReplyDelete
  121. Nevergonnacrackthecode1:38 pm, April 04, 2015

    Rodgers
sticking with 343 until it stops working and this is what happens

    Blackburn was a hint
    Swansea was a bigger hit
    Man united was emergency

This is hopefully the end of it

    ReplyDelete
  122. Some serious dough needs to be spent on this team wow and it isnt like we havent just spent a fortune.

    ReplyDelete
  123. The plan hasn't been the problem, a succession of individual mistakes has, as per usual

    ReplyDelete
  124. Nevergonnacrackthecode1:38 pm, April 04, 2015

    we need Jordon Ibe
    soon as possible ,

    ReplyDelete
  125. yeah, by today's inflated standards

    ReplyDelete
  126. Well he strolls around the pitch up front like he's Romario. Too bad he lacks the goals and attitude. Off with him. I just hope we can hang on to Coutinho.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Blame the players. Rodgers is exonerated.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Toure is completely lost out there, making everone panic. And Markovic, well...

    ReplyDelete
  129. Nevergonnacrackthecode1:40 pm, April 04, 2015

Balotelli (the way he is playing)
    Lambert
    Borini
    Lallana
    Markovic
    Allen
    Lovren
    Johnson
    Manquillo
Moreno? ( certainly last two weeks)
    Toure

    not good enough

    ReplyDelete
  130. But what are you blaming Rodgers for then? The plan or psychology? Because the plan was working until they capitulated

    ReplyDelete
  131. Toure should never be allowed near the first team..so shambolic

    ReplyDelete
  132. The players are the ones on the pitch making silly mistake right? Or is that Rodgers too?

    ReplyDelete
  133. i like that waving arms around dissappointed to his teammates when he dribles against the first defender and loses possession! "FU for I being poor"

    ReplyDelete
  134. Nevergonnacrackthecode1:41 pm, April 04, 2015

    blame FSG

if rodgers had his way he would ahve had Sanchez and Mkhitaryan and Salah

    ReplyDelete
  135. We were on the the back foot from minute one till Rodgers changed things.

    ReplyDelete
  136. I can't help but agree.

    ReplyDelete
  137. The players he's brought in maybe? The money he's wasted? We lost our one reliable striker last summer and he left us with sicknote Sturridge as our only option up front. If that isn't failure I don't know what is.

    ReplyDelete
  138. Well all said and done we are not exactly playing against a poor side, they've been just as dodge at back but there finishing has done us, got to give oppo credit too. Was always going to be a hard task today, lets hope we at least win the second half and don't get a total thrashing.

    ReplyDelete
  139. And who bought the players?

    ReplyDelete
  140. Perhaps so, my point is Logan shifts the goal posts.

    ReplyDelete
  141. Shifts the goal posts. OMG.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Nevergonnacrackthecode1:43 pm, April 04, 2015

    yeah 20k more

    how about 120k more

tehn he ha ssomething to think about
in 2005 we had the highest paid player

and we should ahve made Sanchez the highest player

it has cost us 16m balotellia nd 70m cl

    ReplyDelete
  143. Ffs Logan don't break into your usual Rhetoric. Of course Rodgers takes his portion of the blame but you said the plan has been found out. That isn't the case. We've not been played off the pitch, we've conceded 3 soft goals due to individual errors

    ReplyDelete
  144. Sorry, did that insult you too?

    ReplyDelete
  145. finishing done us all season to be fair to be even this close is remarkable

    ReplyDelete
  146. The guy is a disgrace to the shirt. He can take his babymomma and f off to, well, whichever idiot pays a lot of money for him really.

    ReplyDelete
  147. That is your opinion right :-)

    ReplyDelete
  148. No f***ng shit you idiot

    ReplyDelete
  149. You mean the players the transfer committee brought in. Granted Rodgers is part of that but you can't blame him for everything

    ReplyDelete
  150. Come on!! This is Arsenal, a team we thrashed 5-1 last year. They are not some Bayern or Barca that cannot be beaten. We had the chance when Markovic was through but we wasted it and that is why we are here.

    ReplyDelete
  151. Yip. Pound for pound Sterling has the most inflated idea of his own importance

    *smirks*

    ReplyDelete
  152. No bloody s*** sherlock.

    ReplyDelete
  153. I agree with that but at the end of the day it's Rodgers who buys the players and sends them out on to the pitch. It's definitely a joint responsibility but at the end of the day the buck stops with Rodgers (pun definitely not intended)

    ReplyDelete
  154. fills me with confidence today the core of our team. starts with passing quality of toure in middle defence, then passing quality of lucas above him. and if those two finally manage to get the ball to our lone striker, he will drible against first defender? why exactly does arsenal have lionshare of possession?

    ReplyDelete
  155. The point with getting a top striker is getting a decent one to come Liverpool are no longer an attractive proposition to top players.

  156. I hope Arsenal win the EPL.

  158. Just like Greg who told me I was talking BS about Coutinho and Johnson speaking Spanish.

I do not have to shift goal posts my friend.

    ReplyDelete
  159. If he's part of it, he's part of the problem. Plus, in the committee each has their role to play. The likes of Ayre are just in there for the money part. Rodgers, the chief scout and that analytics guy are responsible for identifying the players and I'm sure Rodgers has the final say there. We can hardly blame the moneymen for getting Rodgers the players he asks for.

No way. they are the most self entitled fans ever

Chelsea for me bcos they were patient for 40 years

    ReplyDelete
  161. Rodgers DOESNT buy the players. He sits on a committee which identifies potential targets. The club then try to close the deal. If Rodgers had had his way we'd have had Costs and Sanchez up front today with Willian, Salah and Mkhitaryan supporting them

    ReplyDelete
  162. Now we have gone to a back four ;-o

    ReplyDelete
  163. There are plenty of good player out there who haven't made a name for themselves yet. But what did Rodgers do? He brought in a player with a famous name and a lousy attitude rather than a player with talent and the attitude to want to show it.

    ReplyDelete
  164. Yeah, funny how we conceded 3 goals once he reverted to your preferred formation? Just saying.

    ReplyDelete
  165. Listen mate, they are a quality side attack wise and on there day they can beat the best in the prem league. I was never comparing them to the likes of those top european sides .

    ReplyDelete
  166. with moreno as a full back that doesn't change anything

    ReplyDelete
  167. No he tried to sign Sanchez then Remy and was ultimately lumped with Balotelli

    ReplyDelete
  168. I'm really starting to think Rodgers isn't the man for us.

    ReplyDelete
  169. And those players did not want to join us so we had to look for other ones. So we immediately resort to the likes of Balotelli and Markovic? There is a lot of grey between black and white.

    ReplyDelete
  170. You rather do move goal posts. One minute it's his fault because of the plan, next minute it's because of the players' individual errors.

    ReplyDelete
  171. Then you need to criticise the club as a whole, not just Rodgers. Sacking him wouldn't change a thing

    ReplyDelete
  172. Point is that he has no plan otherwise he would have done something different when the match had started.

We went into the game the same way VS Blackburn, Swansea and UTD.

    Clueless.

    ReplyDelete
  173. So... We're losing pretty badly. Can't say he warning signs weren't there in recent games. I wouldn't solely blame the players or the manager. Both need to be much better.

    ReplyDelete
  174. You identify so many targets the further you go down the list the less likelihood of success.

    ReplyDelete
  175. You're the only clueless one here

    ReplyDelete
  176. Yes that is right. Rodgers is exonerated.

    ReplyDelete
  177. sanchez didn't want to come to liverpool that's just as simple as that

    ReplyDelete
  178. Nevergonnacrackthecode1:55 pm, April 04, 2015

    why is sterling wing back
    why not two up front

  179. Theycallmemrburt1:55 pm, April 04, 2015

i'd agree. A bit of stage fright on both fronts.

    ReplyDelete
  180. im getting braincancer reading your posts

    ReplyDelete
  181. LOL. We're talking about most self entitled v most plastic. I know who I'd rather.

    ReplyDelete
  182. I resty case. Same old Logan. You make a few reasonable points then get over excited and revert to your close minded drivel. Our debate is over

    ReplyDelete
  183. he wont accept that

    ReplyDelete
  184. A problem I've noticed is that often when we're in midfield and the final third there are no obvious or easy passes for our ball-carrier to make. This is surely a system problem, or a laziness problem. We tend to hang on to the ball for too long. Sometimes even when the easy pass is on, our players tend to take the difficult route, which sometimes ends in a goal and more often ends with us losing possession or losing momentum. I don't know what to conclude from this.

Awesome stop from Mignolet. He's really being hung out to dry by his team-mates today.

    ReplyDelete
  185. Yes that is right, Rodgers is without a doubt exonerated.

    ReplyDelete
  186. My preferred formation? And what exactly is that?

    ReplyDelete
  187. Nice play from Allen.

    ReplyDelete
  188. I didn't turn the TV off because of the score. I think Jim Beglin's commentary has given me cancer.

    ReplyDelete
  189. welcome back Pete no joy for you tnite in either league m8.

    ReplyDelete
  190. I think its clear why Chelsea didn't buy Markovic now, he's nowhere near the finished article in terms of his development. next year he may come good, this is his first season in a foreign league, h's looked like hes over-thinking things, trying too hard, not relaxed, stressed, feeling pressure etc. I was always thinking why chelsea didn't go harder for this player and when we got him i thought "bad deal for us". was like we were trying to prove something by getting beat for other players signatures by chelsea.
