Angry Aldo blasts: £26m star has been 'dreadful' for Liverpool because he's 'lost focus'

After months of denial, it seems that Reds fans are finally starting to wake up and acknowledge Raheem Sterling's rampant greed, and LFC legend John Aldridge has now joined the growing chorus of dissenters criticising the youngster for shamelessly trying to fleece the club.

In his column for Sunday World today, Aldo went to town on Sterling and his advisors, arguing that:

* Sterling's contract stand-off symbolises 'everything that's vile in the modern game'.

* The youngster is 'not happy' with LFC's offer, and his refusal to accept a £100K-a-week deal is 'horrible to see'

Aldo also suggested that the contract situation is affecting Sterling's performances. He scathed:

"Sterling has been dreadful in his last few performances and [the contract situation] is affecting his commitment. Liverpool supporters have picked up on this and are ready to turn against him. He has lost his focus and is not the player he was before this contract argument flared up".

I've been making this argument for months, but as per usual, many Liverpool fans just wouldn't have it. Sterling is a mercenary, and as a result of all the ridiculous praise he's received from fans, pundits, and ex-players (with Brendan Rodgers the main culprit), his ego is out of control, and he now has a grossly inflated sense of his own worth.

In his article, Aldo puts the bulk of the blame on Sterling's agents, suggesting that he is being led like some meek little lamb by his representatives, but I totally disagree with that. Fans constantly seize upon that idea as it gives them a way to pass the buck, but Sterling knows exactly what he's doing.

An agent is the *employee* of a footballer, not the other way around.

£26m-rated Sterling will discuss everything related to his contract with his agent, and then direct him to act in a certain way, and the idea that he is being manipulated by his agent is complete and utter nonsense (IMO).

Sterling deserves all the criticism coming his way, and I really hope Liverpool fans continue to turn against him, and/or any other mercenary who tries to hold the club to ransom.

As I've argued countless times before, the solution to this situation is to call Sterling's bluff and sell him to highest bidder. That will send a strong message that shameless greed is not tolerated at Anfield, and will dissuade future mercenaries from trying to fleece the club.

If Liverpool cave-in, and pay Sterling what he wants, it will open the floodgates, and prove once again that players are bigger than the club.

  1. Reports that he is set to deny 180K a week. At that point, bench him and let him go in the summer. Get Depay or Firmino if we need a replacement.

We really need a RWB though... Was thinking about Aurier... not linked, but he's still only on loan and getting no game time at PSG. Worth a punt?

  2. Sterling and his agent just playing the game that all premier league players are doing. They know liverpool have room for big wager earners with gerrard (150k+ a week) and Johnson (100k+ a week) moving on in the summer. Add in the ocean of money from the TV deal and all teams marquee players are now adding x thousand a week to their wage demands. Its par for the course.

Answer me this Sturridge apart who is the stand out "superstar" player at liverpool that the fans/management/owners can hang their hats on ?

    Henderson...No
    Lallana...No
Balotelli.....Lets not even start with that

..its Sterling isnt it. You know it. I know it. He knows it and his agent certainly knows it.

  3. So journos with actual connections to the club have said it is the agent. Rodgers has implied it is the agent and now Also says he thinks it is the agent but no, mind readers know that it is Sterling. So f you people with actual knowledge our presumptions and prejudices are far more I.portent to us. If lies are told often enough they become the truth.

  4. Cfiticism is the most counter productive thi g we can do. Fans having a go on social media and in the stands is only going to affect his head when he is clearly a player who can suffer from lack of confidence. We want the club to succeed but having a go at players is not going to help that at all. The team will be effected and that is surely not what we want.

    ReplyDelete
  5. So, the fact that Sterling is simply 'playing the game' makes it okay? Jeez, how many other lame excuses are fans going to come up with? I guess it's okay for Liverpool players to dive, cheat, and engage in 'gamesmanship' too, right? Why now - everything else is doing it.

Sterling is not a 'superstar' player; that is fan/paper talk. He has achieved nothing in the game yet to warrant that label. Henderson is far more worthy of a big pay rise than Sterling as he is actually important to the team, and has proven that over the last 18 months.

  6. Can everyone just calm down and wait to see what happens in the summer. The next story the press will come out with is 'Sterling rejects 250k a week' etc etc.

    ReplyDelete
  7. No, they are just like you: apologists who refuse to see the wood for the trees. You still don't get the distinction: An agent is an employee, not the other way around. Is Sterling mute? Is he slow-witted to the extent that he can't speak for himself?! No. as is the usual custom, footballers *discuss" everything with their agents, who cannot proceed along a certain path without the player's consent. That is a fact.

You and others keep peddling this ridiculous notion that the agent somehow makes all the decisions about strategy etc, and the meek, impressionable player is left in the dark; a victim who doesn't know what's going on, and is left at the mercy of the machiavellian agent.

What a load of cobblers. That's not how it works in the real world. An agent may make suggestions about pursuing more money, but Sterling *has a mind of his own* - he doesn't have to agree; he can just instruct his agent to accept whatever offer is on the table. He hasn't, which is why he's a raging mercenary.

But still keep enabling him if that's what floats your boat.

  8. Seriously??Sterling hasn't even scored 10 goals in a season.Don't overrate him.I'm not afan of Hendo but the man has passion for LFC. Sterling is simply showing us the finger and hoping some other club will take on his greedy demands. He's not worth that money.Stevie G is our legend yet Sterling reckon he's worth more. Pffft!

    ReplyDelete
  9. Firstly I have not said that Sterling has nothing to do with it but the agent is the one doing the dealing and all players say they leave it to their agent to sort out. Second no ons has said he is a victim. But young? Yes. Impressionable? Probably. Earning less than half what Balotelli is? Yes. So why should he? That is surely what his agent has said. Why should Rooney be on three hundred grand and his England teammate be on less than a third of it? The agents job is to make as much money for his client as they can and if they are good enough they will convince their clients it is the right way to go. Numerous journos know more than you and no they are not apologists they are reporting what they have heard. Unlike tou who just says what he thinks regardless of any information passed his way. You like having a villain, it's daily mail writing. It was Suarez when it could be and it's Sterling now. It will be someone else if he goes. Create outrage get clicks. It's transparent.

  10. I think a flogging is a bit harsh, even for Sterling. Just make him walk the plank instead.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Agree with a lot of what you said there but there is no way any player is bigger than the club and because hes a greedy little bugger does not make it so.
I didnt see any statements declaring Suarez being bigger than the club on the massive contract we put him on.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Sterling scored ten last season and I think ten up to now this season too.

    ReplyDelete
  13. That's coz Suarez scores 20+ a season, creates another 20 and warrants the cash. This lil bugger has a lot to prove before he can demand that type of cash.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Technically Allen is Welsh not English. Henderson cannot be overrated with the stats he has produced. Plus the non stats he gives us. Allen when played is a good squad player, if you think we can run off a team of 11/14 then there will be no progress in any comp. teams need squaddies. Allen is just that. And I'm sure he is aware. lallana is yet to show enough but 1 injury hit season is by no means proof.
    All in all, be realistic.

    ReplyDelete
  15. We all know that mate but lets face it the amount your paying does in no way dictate a player being bigger than the club no.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Fair enough. Was a ball park figure I threw out to show how he's overrated.Score around 20 consistently and provide a good assist tally and yes , we can say he's reaching those levels. As is, he's got a lot to prove.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I'd like to wait until the summer to see how this pans out before I come to any damming conclusions. Am I:
    A) in denial?
    B) an apologist?
    C) an enabler?
    D) all of the above?

    ReplyDelete
  18. I would say E confused.

    ReplyDelete
  19. In this case, it does. He's trying to play the hot card with us and if we cave in, then it sends a hint of desperation on our part.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Agreed! but its so hard! :)

    ReplyDelete
  21. Am I confused? Well, yes and no. Sort of. Oh, I don't know.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Well i see it in the light that if we are to continually turn over players and become a selling club then the club will be in a continual rebuilding phase.
You need to have a base to build a good side from and be able to keep your most important players.
Otherwise the best we can hope for is being the next Arsenal but possibly without the CL spot regularly due to the strength of the top 4.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Well... if everyone is "outstanding" then no one is actually "outstanding" because no one stands out from each other.

BR has backed himself if into a tidy little corner hasn't he!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Raheem Sterling is currently the most hyped / talked about youngster in world football.

He is our most dangerous player, mostly due to his electric pace.

We cannot continue to lose our best players in their prime, Alonso, March, Torres, Suarez etc. Our standing as one of the top teams in England, let alone the world, is being eroded at a faster rate each year.

The latest reports, which you wisely do not quote, are that Sterling rejects £180k per week contract. This is piffle.

I do think that he is being played at wing back as a punishment though. Man Utd must have been chuffed to see him in such a non threatening position.

An agent is an employee in the same way that a lawyer, or a solicitor, or an auctioneer is. You follow their judgement. He's only 20.

Why shouldn't a player, with a huge profile, in the richest league in the world seek to maximise his earning potential?

I expect that Liverpool will make a precise, cold decision on it. We will obviously improve on £90k per week, but will outline how his development is tied to Liverpool. The player / agent will see sense, come in at £120k incentivised deal......... Otherwise sell him to highest bidder. It's straightforward

    ReplyDelete
  25. I, too, choose to wait until summer before recycling my golden Raheem* and burning my shrine.

*I have plans to make an idol out of Can's hair.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I am nit sure he was hyping him up all that much. He basically said he is our best Player barring Sturridge which in most ways you look at it seems to be almost undeniable. Cout being next on the list. Neither are actual superstars yet but Raheem is certainly one of if not the most marketable player at the club.

    ReplyDelete
  27. And a suit out of his skin? And I thought I was the only one.....

  28. The funny thing is the way so many are going on they will be getting the cat of nine tails out soon for real.

    ReplyDelete
  29. That's like saying 'I'll wait till till Jack the Ripper stops killing people before I come to the conclusion that he's a serial killer'.

Whilst he's killing people, he's still a murderer.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I don't think it's necessarily fair to call him a "mercenary" since that's meant as singling him out in a derogatory way.

I think the majority of players could be considered mercenaries, so to single out one player for doing what countless before him have done and countless after him will do is a bit of exaggeration.

Nowadays, who WOULDN'T be considered a mercenary?

It's a business. A player is going to try to get as much money as he can as early and often as he can.

What's puzzling to me about the Sterling situation is that I can't imagine a better team providing him with that much more playing time and that much more money.

Will Sterling walk into starting XI's at Chelsea, Man City, PSG, Bayern, Real Madrid, or Barcelona? In my opinion, the answer is no.

Will Sterling make 100k at any of those places. Possibly. But will he make 125k? I'm not so sure. After all, why would any one of those teams pay someone significant wages to not start?

So we have a player looking to milk it for everything it's worth, but by leaving he'd probably not play nearly as much, and he's probably earn relatively marginally more.

From that perspective, I don't understand why LFC is offering more money.

If someone is willing to shell out upwards of 25m for him and pay him and play him, bless his soul. I can't see the latter 2 happening.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Just last season Sterling was the subject of a loan bid from Swansea, now he is apparently waiting for us to get champions league ( as well as demanding more money) before committing. What the actual fun! Where is the loyalty, he owes whatever career he has to Liverpool. He should be knocking on BR's door and signing whatever contract is on the table. I refuse to believe that my beloved club have fallen so low so as to be held ransom to a kid just two years out of the academy. SELL HIM!

    ReplyDelete
  32. No. It's nothing like that.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Ripper Sterling. Has a ring to it.

    ReplyDelete
  34. But the difference here is that everything we're basing our opinions on is conjecture, rumors, and hearsay. Whatever is being fed to the press is being done so with reasons in mind. So whatever is in the press has to be taken with a grain of salt, admitting there is some semblance of truth to it, but also acknowledging that there is probably some semblance of lie.

If Jack the Ripper is murdering people (and it's proven he's murdering people), well that's a different situation altogether.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I think Coutinho has won most fans over.I think he's a better player than Sterling and will last longer as a player coz he doesn't need pace to be effective. He's a LFC die hard. I reckon we offer a more performance based structure to our young guns and if achieved, they earn the big bucks.

He does not have to say a word as everytime he says something the media make a fiasco out of it.

What if this 180k a week is just all BS? There is a new story out on Raheem just about everyday. It is like a witch-hunt. Maybe he has decided he will only sign a new deal at the start of next season. It is all ifs and bust at the moment. We do not know the real story and now everyone is on his case due to a story released by the Mirror and we know what rubbish they can come up with at times eh?

Stevie has not only decided to leave just because of playing time. He is going to urn mega buck in wages and from sponsors in the US. Going to be a shite load more than what he is earning now. Beckham another player who has earned more than most other footballers.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Likewise mate. You and a select few others. The masses seem to have spent far too long playing champ manager and such like and think real life should work the same way, not taking into account players ages, character, personal lives and so forth.
If people can't see that players are and will be affected by these and other variables that come along throughout their careers and have no patience (Markovic springs to mind) then they will be eternally disappointed when their unrealistic expectations aren't met.
Players are human beings at the end of the day, regardless of how much they get paid, and are no more immune to mistakes and errors in judgement than we are and issues in their personal lives will affect their work just as they do most other people's.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Far too much is being made of Sterling right now. Best would be to wait till the start of next season as the media have taken this story and blown it way out of proportion especially when he is one of the best young English footballer at the moment. Even Madrid want the kid so the media are making a killing of selling stories on this young chap.

    ReplyDelete
  63. So tell us Kanwar...who is the standout superstar player at Liverpool. If its not Sterling or Sturridge. Who is the player the fans will have on their shirts now StevieMe is gone. Rodgers is the one escaping criticism even after continuously hanging Sterling's contract situation out to dry yet nothing gets said about that. If you add fuel to the fire what happens? But no, Rodgers hardly gets mentioned?

Will be funny come the start of next season should Sterling put pen to paper on a new LFC deal without CL football.

We need to keep him and the club I am 100% sure will do all they can to do so.

  69. We don't agree often, but on this, I think most fans do... Sterling knows exactly what he's doing... What really irkes me though is the thought that Sterling thinks he can go to Real Madrid or Bayern and slot straight in... Hell, He wouldn't even slot straight at Chelsea or City... I also find it insulting that he is now suposedly ready o turn down anything even if it's £180,000p/w because he wants to know exactly how Brendan intends to use him.... To me, this sounds like a player who wants out, and is using all he can think of to make his position at the club untenable.... For me, it's simple.... Send the little scrote on loan to Cheltenham for a season, and then sell him to a club in Russia or the Ukraine...

    ReplyDelete
  70. I think this is anything, even if it was £180,00p/w, not that LFC are going to offer that much... If LFC were ever willing to offer that, they would have done it already.... Sterling is never worth more a week than Coutinho, Hendo, hell the whole team for that matter... This is a ploy to force LFC into selling, nothing else...

    ReplyDelete
  71. That is a dangerous game, and smacks of disrespect for a club that have made him the player he is... Hell, if LFC hadn't had a shortage of players around the time of his debut, he probably wouldn't have made the teamsheet.....It's a two way game, and LFC can refuse to sell to anyone they want, and they can also sell him where they want..... I fancy a call to Anzi Mach, or Ruban Kazan...

  72. Hey Peter, good to see another Perthian on here, i think regardless of minutes the stats dont paint a great picture for jimmy milner. I do believe he contributes to games far more than stats would show but we need people who can get the assists and goals like Stevie once did. Id be all for signing milner on a free but not for those wages and not to fill gerrards role

    ReplyDelete
  73. I have been on his side up to now but that is the piano that broke the horses back

    ReplyDelete
  78. its hard to take the moral high ground when you are criticizing someone publically.....sterling isnt a rapist or a killer or mugger he is a footballer looking to get the biggest contract ( shock horror that un heard of ) the solution is simple sell him shake his hand and wish him all the best where ever he plys his trade ......we should depart amicably as thats the adult and honest way and leave the mud slinging to others

    ReplyDelete
  79. Well if the last article rumoured 30 y/o Milner coming to lfc on 125k/week then Sterling is entitled to the best deal he can get. I think Sterling is playing it the way you would expect if you were being backed into a corner with a well publicised running commentary. For all who say cut our losses and sell, just remember how tripe we've been in the transfer market. I really don't expect a quality replacement.
This drop in form is inevitable for any footballer, let's acknowledge the fact that Sterling has been instrumental in saving Rodgers bacon, considering the strikers at our disposal. JK, I have to say that you've been instrumental in spreading propaganda. What are your sources regarding Sterling's contract dealings?

    ReplyDelete
  80. Brilliant comment.... To a certain extent though......?
Sign on that dotted line and take a wage, and you become the property of the club in all matters pertaining to football.... It's fairly simple really, so for the next 2 years, the club decide what happens with Raheem...

  95. Sterling should leave Liverpool for his own career on the pitch as well as off the pitch. For our main player I find it shocking that he is being moved all over the pitch to fit in players who haven't cut the mustard this season. What is his long term position at Liverpool ? I havent got the foggiest where that is myself let alone the fans and the manager and that will affect his game. It's clear to see that Man City need new blood for their and Sterling fits the bill. So if I was Sterling I would go as the fans have turned on him and Liverpool would be taking a step back if they don't make top four. As for Liverpool all they can do is sell him for top wack and use that money to get a top player they are going to make a great profit on the lad and then everybody will be happy.

  101. I turn my back for a minute to do a bit of decorating and someone takes my job.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Showing your age their bud.

    ReplyDelete
  103. He is twenty nine. Three year contract. Thirty three will be the end of his contract.

    ReplyDelete
  104. a 32 year old milner on 125 a week you do the math

    ReplyDelete
  105. It's the young Sterling. And why not? Isn't that when we all started deifying him (according to our host)?
I've actually got him in a defiant pose with face completely visible so I can bask in his full glory and excellence.

    ReplyDelete
  106. It's true, imagine if Sterling wasn't as adaptable this season. Relying on Borini, Lambert & Balotelli? Rodgers would have been out the door.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Milner is a cracking player, just not a fashionable player... I know which I'd prefer.. The one that can be relied upon.... and that's Milner, hence why City we're so desperate to keep him...

    ReplyDelete
  108. in fact a 22 year old milner on 125k you do the math in fact any age

    ReplyDelete
  109. The 180k stuff is BS i couldnt see any side in the world offering that kind of money to Sterling.
I dont want to sell him but i have reservations over him wanting to stay.
From day 1 when he left QPR he took the best deal monetarily to come to Liverpool who beat off hot competition.
I am not enjoying the witch hunt currently happening but must say there is grounds to be suspicious of Raheems motives.

    ReplyDelete
  110. a cracking player ? a real bobby dazzler

    ReplyDelete
  111. You see when s contract is over you don't have to pay them anymore. Mad I know.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Doesn't make the deal any better. He doesn't bring much creativity, it's a sad day when lfc celebrate mediocrity.

    ReplyDelete
  113. borini on 90 g a week says it all ...talk about taking the lid off pandoras box

    ReplyDelete
  114. Yep.definitely showing your age.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Wow! I don't know that you even know who Milner is...

    ReplyDelete
  116. And now Sterling is being given stick for what? Because of rumours being made up that he has rejected offer after offer?

Latest rumour of 180K a week takes the cake. What is the next figure going to be via the media?

    ReplyDelete
  117. in theory deals like this look good but that pro rata 125g a week gives better players at the club who are playing all the time a starting point in wage negotiations

    ReplyDelete
  118. Looked at his creativity and he creates more chances than Silva. Only reason his assists are not higher than they are is because they were just not scored. His assist record is quite good. He creates a decent amount.

    ReplyDelete
  119. That wasn't an offer... It was astatement suggesting that he would turn down another offer, even if it was £180,000p/w... Huge difference.

    ReplyDelete
  120. I heard he rejected the cake and spat in Rodgers' face.

    ReplyDelete
  121. playing at city he should

    ReplyDelete
  122. Should create more than Silva? Wow.

    ReplyDelete
  123. I do. He's a boring, no frills, overhyped English footballer. How's that ?

    ReplyDelete
  124. When you talk Markovic many are disappointed that the club paid so much on a player that was not ready to go.
I think in a lot of cases its more disappointment over transfer strategy than the player himself.

    ReplyDelete
  125. Wiped the contract with his arse and a skid mark saying shut the F up. I will sign the contract when I am ready...

    ReplyDelete
  126. ...and killed Gerrard's puppies.

    ReplyDelete
  127. This converstaion has become something akin to a school yard....I'm leaving.

    ReplyDelete
  128. full of tire swings?

    ReplyDelete
  129. I understand you're point about transfer strategy, and it's a valid objection. However the club over-paying for a player still in need of development is a different thing as writing a 20 year old off as rubbish in his first season. The latter is unfortunately common

    ReplyDelete
  130. He's overhyped and brings no measurable quality to the table apart from being fit. Remember, Sterling is Milner's successor to the national team.

    ReplyDelete
  131. Do we NEED to have a superstar player? He's our poster boy, but NOWHERE near a superstar.

He simply isn't worth 180K a week. We shouldn't be paying him based on potential. Your boss doesn't pay you for your work next year, does he? He pays you for what you're doing now. If/When Sterling reaches his prime as a class player, sure give him 200K+, assuming he's actually World Class. Until then, 100K is good enough.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Nah, that'll be next years story after he takes our 150K contract renewal tomorrow -.-

    ReplyDelete
  133. with his trousers down stroking a white pussy?

    ReplyDelete
  134. One of the worlds best = HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

    ReplyDelete
  135. This is not about money, is about not being good enough for him.
Aiming for 4th place will never be enough for world class players, or future wc like Raheem.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Are you honestly saying Sterling HASN'T proved he's important to the team over the last 18 months?

    ReplyDelete
  137. Has that pussy been peroxided?

    ReplyDelete
  138. Jack the Ripper? Bit of an extreme analogy

    ReplyDelete
  139. For those of you who can't stand Sterling. Picture our next game vs Arsenal with no Sterling with the likelihood that Sturridge will miss the game. The very definition of toothless & it's down to Brendan for shoddy recruitment.

    ReplyDelete
  140. 50 at least but probably plus

    ReplyDelete
  141. At the current exchange rate we should be going for Euros...

    ReplyDelete
  142. Yes sad but true.

    ReplyDelete
  143. I believe Bruce G is onto sthing, here.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Great analogy, in all seriousness.

    ReplyDelete
  145. You're from Cape Town? So am I.

    ReplyDelete
  146. Jaimie should be jailed for the way he dismisses Milner's ability. No, he shouldn't be a Gerrard replacement, but he's no mug either. Definitely not a Downing.

    ReplyDelete
  147. Depends who else the club buys in midfield and attacking positions. If Milner is the only name acquisition then its a very underwhelming move but if he's part of 2 or 3 other big name signings then he'd make for a excellent squad upgrade.

    ReplyDelete
  148. Milner will bring experience of winning the league with him. He always seems to be turned to when city need a result and had shown he can perform in big game pressure situations - away to bayern in the champions league etc. I for one think he would be a good signing

    ReplyDelete
  149. I repeat, my problem with Hendo is that it appears to me that to him and to BR, Hendo's specific role is not clear he tries his hand at pressing, defending and at attack (which eseentially isnt intrinsically wrong) but heis role needs to be clear outright to avoid those many games where he is anonymous-you cant tell what else he is doing besides running- which basically any footballer can do (the running)

    ReplyDelete
  150. Are you the agent of Sterling?

"Great cross raheem, good boy, now we can demand 25k more"

    ReplyDelete
  151. Peter from Perth WA5:13 pm, March 31, 2015

I love maths, such was the reason for my comment.
How would you view Milners credentials if for instance his contribution was a goal every 11.9 appearances over 30 minutes played.

    ReplyDelete
  152. See I'm from a different camp and hate maths myself. I prefer to watch the player closely and judge him on the impact he has on pitch. Just because a player is an 'attacking midfielder', I dont believe that he needs to get assists and/or goals, he might be making that pass just before the assist, the cheeky pass that frees a winger to make the cut back and square to a forward to score, or the left winger that cuts in, runs to the box, then feeds the overlapping fullback to put in the cross. I think players of this ilk often miss out of the goals or assists, but contribute towards the attacking play nonetheless. I'd say it's probably because I was basically a winger who couldnt score a goal to save his life when I was playing!

If he playing under BR style he might not as usual promising as we seen. Markovic is good example

    ReplyDelete
  154. Sorry bud not sure I fully understand. English not first language? Still much appreciated reply. If you mean that Milner may not play to the same level under BR there is a possibility but I am.not wholly convinced Marketing is a good example. He is very young and has come to a new League. Even Lallana has made the step up and will have more pressure and scrutiny than he ever has. Miller has played at arguably a higher level, in this league his whole career, has won titles and played under a manager who asks him to do similar things we ask of our own players. When Miller plays he is asked to transition quickly and either by request or by his own way of working tends to close people down.well and works very hard out of possession. He is also very versatile which is the type of player BR loves. For me he would be a great fit for this manager.
