Stunning Deal: Ex-Red urges LFC to sign 'brilliant' £50m duo to replace Gerrard. Agree?

With Steven Gerrard leaving at the end of the season, Liverpool are sure to be linked with every half-decent central midfielder under the sun, but ex-Red Danny Murphy believes that the club need to sign two players to fill the void, and his two preferred candidates are already playing in the Premier League.

When asked today who he'd sign to replace Gerrard, Murphy told the Daily Star:

“Moussa Sissoko and Morgan Schneiderlin are the two players Liverpool should go for.

"[They'll] set you back around £40-50m, but Liverpool would be better signing two players, rather than one"

"Sissoko is a box-to-box midfielder, who has looked absolutely terrific since going centrally, and Morgan...will be a brilliant signing for somebody".

Liverpool are currently linked with a move for Schneiderlin, and if Rodgers had made different choices in 2012, Sissoko would already be a Liverpool player. I argued repeatedly for LFC to sign Sissoko, and prior to his move to Newcastle, the France international was heavily linked with a move to Anfield:

July 2011: Sissoko revealed that he was flattered to be linked with Liverpool.

April 2012: Speaking to reporters after Toulouse's defeat to Montpellier, Sissoko told reporters: "I've had contact with English clubs, notably Liverpool"

August 2012: Sissoko issued a 'come and get me' plea to Premier League clubs: "I want to grow, and the English Premier league attracts me first. My profile might interest some clubs, but if I want to leave Téfécé I know I still have to work for it"

Sissoko cost Newcastle United a sickening £2.2m. The same summer, Liverpool were heavily linked with a move for Michu, who ultimately signed for Swansea in £2m deal.

I'm loathe to make this next point because it'll make me feel sick, but the reality is this: Liverpool could've had Michu and Sissoko for a combined total of £4.4m.

Instead, the club, in its infinite wisdom, decided that £26m on Joe Allen and Fabio Borini represented better value for money.

Ladies and gentleman of the jury! I implore you: Michu and Sissoko or Allen and Borini?!

It's an absolute no-brainer; and in the history of no-brainers, this is the most obvious no-brainer of them all...except, of course, in the minds of those who (seemingly) have no-brain (for transfers).

Like the Dejan Lovren fiasco (£20m fee paid this year when LFC could've signed him for £8m last year), the Sissoko/Michu saga is just another example of Liverpool's seemingly endless negligence in the transfer market.

Additionally, if the Reds had signed Sissoko in 2012, there'd be a ready-made replacement for Gerrard already in the squad, and he would've had the added benefit of learning from the skipper over the last two years.

Murphy may be overstating the combined transfer fee for Schneiderlin and Sissoko, but they 'aint gonna be cheap, that's for sure. Which of the two is more suited by/needed at Liverpool?

  2. I'm not really convinced Sissoko is the right kind of player for Liverpool. He doesn't play defensive midfield, he's more of a central midfielder who likes to burst forward. Kind of reminds me of Stevie G in his mid 20s before Rafa converted him into that role behind the striker. I don't see enough quick passing in Sissoko's game for him to be properly effective in the way Liverpool would play. Maybe he's capable of that, I don't know, but it's not really what he does at the moment.

Have other people seen more of him? How does he fit into the Liverpool system?

  3. I love Schneiderlin but if we are smart we should first buy Soton's front office and sack ours............

  4. Yeah man totally agree, I said in another article earlier that he would be a great player if we could keep him at DM, as I dont think he attacks the same way as our team, but he would give us a solid base to build from if he stayed in front of the back 4. Would be interesting, but he'll cost a fortune. Schneiderlin, I'm just not sold on. He's good, but he's never really done anything too special (that I've seen).

  5. The transfer committee , the scouts and the policies behind are baffling.
window after window their inept decisions are mind boggling. Shocking that FSG are sitting back and not taking drastic actions.

  7. Nah, Allen and Borini were correct choices because the computer said so.

  8. agree he is better then crap we have buy far

  9. Twistadee said same thing
Is Danny Murphy Twistadee in disguise?

  10. Lovren was super at S'ton, Allen, Siggurdson, Borini were super at Swansea (of all the players there, Rogers picked them out for L'pool), Markovic was super at Benfica
    etc
On the hand, Sturridge was at Chelsea, Coutinho was at Inter

    Point:
We could be just buying good players from small clubs. Players who have been at big clubs, playing Champs League (even if bit part) have a much better mentality and much more suited to handle the big stage and expectation. Look, Coutinho is in the same age bracket as Luis Alberto, Suso, Texeira but look how much better he is. This mentality is only got through experience either by age, or having the talent to start playing regularly at a very young age.

I would be skeptical buying any player under 26 from the likes of S'ton and Newcastle. We have gambled too much on that already. If it fails, all blame will be on the manager again.

Milner looks a shroud buy, Mascherano, snatch someone from Dortmund due to their current struggles or even Inter, AC Milan. They have some good players who I believe would consider joining us giving the plight of their current clubs. Chelsea and Man City bench players; Shurlle, Fernandinho, Nastasic

I really wonder why BR not apply soton job back then since he so fansy their player

    ReplyDelete
  14. Sissoko(25) would offer us something different like you have just gladly pointed out. Is that a bad thing? M Sissoko(25) is the closest midfielder there is who is similar to Yaya Toure(31).

I think it has been proved our transfer failings over the last 4 years is 91%. Having too many players who do exactly or similar things ain't a good thing.

You need players who offer club and team other alternatives and M Sissoko(25) would cause teams more problems than J Allen(24) and L Alberto(21).

Two players who fit B Rodgers style of play but are way out of their depth and simply average midfielders.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I did that in case some wise ass, was going to do it instead. Like some have when i didn't put managers ages down in comments

  16. B R gets a lot of stick on transfers BUT remember this we cannot compete on WAGES -that is why we miss out - F S G will not pay over the top. B R has not spent a lot since he became L F C manager in NET TERMS - That is purchases minus sales and he is continually being asked to drop the wage bill - hence au revoir Stevie G

    ReplyDelete
  17. Kovacic(20) best position is AM, He is similar to the likes of Coutinho(22), Lallana(26), Silva(29), Cazorla(30), Mata(26), Nasri(27), Oscar(23) and Ozil(26).

Who can all play wide Left, Wide Right, CM, DM if needed but their all best play in the free role where they can cause teams the most damage.

  18. We're doomed under the current structure thats in place at liverpool. The season we had last year should've been built on, but no super rodgers replace's suarez with rickie lambert and mario balotelli who was a panic buy ffs. Now brendan rodgers comes out and says we cant attract big players to liverpool, give me a break brendan just tell the truth the jobs to big for you.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Vidic has been a disaster for Inter. If he can't handle the pace in Serie A, I dread to think how he'd be back in this league.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Last season he spent the year as D.M mate this season he is a number 10 but his preferred role is a D.M position.

    ReplyDelete
  21. The idea that we can attract anyone given what we've been seeing in this window and during the 2014 summer should clearly indicate that we are no longer shopping in Fortnum and Mason or Harrods and instead are now looking in the Lidls/ Aldis discount section.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Kovacic(20) may be able to get away with playing the DM role in Italy. But S Gerrard(34) and L Leiva(27) are better DM than him now.

The only two players B Rodgers should go for to fix the DM position is Morgan Schneiderlin(25) Of Southampton or Lars Bender(25) Of Bayer Leverkusen .

Both mobile, class, quality, have the size, height , break up play well, control things in centre of park and both good on ball.

    ReplyDelete
  23. No more Southampton players i dont really rate Schneiderlin and as far as C.M players go i see a rumour floating round about Pjanic he would be a great get.
Agree with you about Bender but like all things Liverpool ATM would they come?

    ReplyDelete
  24. No i am not, just someone else who has played football at a descent level for many years and loves his football, supports his team and can see exactly what Moussa Sissoko(25) and M Schneiderlin(25) would offer our club and side.

One would protect back four and GK, break up play, stop oppositions best players getting on ball and keep use ball well when they have it, keep things ticking over ( Schneiderlin(25) )

The other would get on ball and try to make things happen with surging runs and his pace and power from centre of park would destroy teams. And he has eye for goals and is a match winner ( Sissoko (25) )

    ReplyDelete
  25. This stuff really makes me wonder. Is there something we're all missing? Do guys like Werner and Henry not see this? I mean, if someone spent my 200 million so pesh poor, I'd be pretty upset. Even if I had a lot more where that came from. At the end of the day they're in it for the investment right? And I can't imagine they're getting much out of it right now so wasting transfer funds doesn't really help things. I know we as fans have a tendency to oversimplify things but can we really be so far off with our conclusions that those who take care of our transfers are actually doing a great job but we don't see it?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Why they didnt try to get Sissoko from France for around 2 mill defies logic that was a no brainer.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Its Habit and most of the things and players i have mentioned we have to get rid of or bring are the same so don't have to research their ages now , remember most . Thanks

    ReplyDelete
  28. Oh yes lets get rid of a performing 27 year old player, and replace him with an injury prone, past it ex Manu player!!! i hope you were being sarcastic with your comment!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Maybe it is luck. We had one regime in Parry which was just generally clueless, we had H&G who were foerign to the whole game and then made us broke, and now we have new foreigners in FSG, who too were alien to the entire football system, and have tried to make the club more financially efficient after the previous mess, by trying to be too clever with their robot scout, as well as their wage cutting- and as we all know that big wages are an industrial strength magnet.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I don't have a problem with FSG in as much as I think they've been brilliant for the club up to now but I think they should review their recruitment methods. Maybe not totally revamp it but tweak it at least

    ReplyDelete
  31. They've done a lot more good for us than bad. I don't buy the peddled argument that they're in just just for the money. But what they need to do is find a lucrative agreement with a big corporate partner that can give a much better cash flow injection. Maybe that's what the trip to Dubai with Parry was all about, hopefully. Because, surely by now, they have realised that we aren't going to compete while United, Chelsea, City and Arsenal (to an extent) use financial might to buy whoever they want. It's all well and good trying to nurture young players into great ones, but that's while our rivals are buying a team of stars who are already the finished product, while hence not needing to wait around for them to mature.

    ReplyDelete
  32. So now rodgers concedes that Liverpool struggle to sign top players?

    http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2892/transfer-zone/2015/01/09/7791092/rodgers-liverpool-find-it-difficult-to-sign-top-players?ICID=HP_BN_11

WTF???? Southampton, Newcastle dont seem to have problems?
Some of there players that they have signed for peanuts!
Sissoko, Tiote, Lovren, Schenderlin etc etc

As metioned in the article sissoko signed for 2 mil and lovren for 8 mil respectively. Bony was available and signed by swansea for 13 mil and then we refused to pay 19 mil over the summer now it looks like he is signing for Man City for 25 - 30 mil.

To Me and im sure others its not the problem of attracting top players its more like identifying them and then not paying over the top for them.
We seem to be refusing to pay for good players but then overpaying for mediocre/ crap players.!!! BR is just showing how out of depth he is!!!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Fowler said Adam Morgan was the one of the best finishers he has seen in a long long time. The guy couldn't even make it as Yeovil Town.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Yea sometimes I feel like the focus is so much on the future that we sacrifice the present

    ReplyDelete
  35. Thats the great thing about a committee you dont who to blame.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Schneiderlin(25) is a very good CDM. And he would be a good fit to side. And i think that B Rodgers should have brought in Schneiderlin(25), Lallana(26) and Clyne(23) in the summer.

Instead of Lovren(25) and Lambert(32), i still think when B Rodgers gets a mobile class DM in and a top class GK behind defence Lovren(25) will show his true class and quality.

Schneiderlin(25) or L Bender(25) Of Bayer Leverkusen should be brought to club as CDM this transfer window

M Pjanic(24) is a good player, but if we want to bring in top class CM who is young and is only going to get better M Veratti(22) should be brought to club fr £17-£24M instead of M Pjanic(24)

    ReplyDelete
  37. Twista we are never gunna get Veratti he is a starter regularly at PSG and one of their shining lights he isnt coming to Liverpool no way.
Be like me saying we should get Matuidi great but not happening.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Jamie, we live in a market economy. What's wrong with Sterling being paid (or demanding) £100k/week? It's simple supply & demand. If LFC decide to pay him that figure then that is his price determined by the demand for his services. I don't understand how some people have an issue just because he is young and therefore doesn't deserve it. If people can accept "if your good enough then you're old enough" to play, then why can't people accept the same young players should be allowed to demand a salary similar to experienced players.

LFC has not been held to ransom. If they think 100k is too much then sell him. Also, people expect players to be loyal and not chase money. Are clubs loyal? NO. If a player under performs on a regular basis, eventually in most cases he gets sold. But if the same player is in the best form of his life and wants to quit for more money elsewhere, he gets branded as disloyal.

  40. You shouldn't bring kids into a struggling side. It can do them real harm, especially in a situation where the supporters are turning on the team. You can't hold them back forever, but you need to protect them to some extent. It's a difficult balancing act. You can't sacrifice the team's chances of snatching a result here and there just to develop individuals; at the same time, you can't sacrifice the development of youngsters to collective goals indefinitely, because it becomes counter-productive: the youngsters can add their freshness and energy, but it has to be at the right time. Kids *can't* come in when they are expected to be the saviour, it's not fair, and it's not responsible.

    ReplyDelete
  41. They are after M Sissoko(25), so they may sell.

Kroos(24) was a starter and B Munich, yet he left them to go Real Madrid.

If you don't try, you do not get!!!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Nice to know we're not alone isn't it. Football being what it is, though, he probably will get the chop. Someone has to take the fall for Suarez, for Balotelli, for the CL exit, and it's not going to be Ian Ayre or Dave Fallows, is it, people whose abilties I'm much less convinced about than our passionate and talented manager.

    ReplyDelete
  43. To be fair you are completely out of order with your comment as Lucas turns 28 today.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Look back over the transfer business at LFC for the last couple of decades. We've brought in larger numbers of better players in each of the last 2 than in most of the previous 20, with a few exceptions. This widespread criticism of the present management is unjustified.

It just comes from reading too many articles invented by agents. These stories create unrealistic expectations among supporters that this or that exciting player will be coming to Anfield. These deals never materialise and so a gap opens up between expectation and reality, which leads to disappointment.

So what if a few transfers don't work out? That's just how it goes. The club deserve to be held to high standards, sure. But why get so dismal about it? We've brought in some real quality, and it's not often that's been the case, as I say, over the last 2 decades.

    ReplyDelete
  45. It wouldn't be right to treat a player like that. The other players wouldn't like it. Neither would the agents or buying clubs. It would be a bad move all round.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Recently 3 scouts were sacked and now Zafar Iqbal has left too. I think this is just the start to many more departures.

    ReplyDelete
  47. hehehe ok lets swap a 28 year old player then

    ReplyDelete
  48. Haha makes the world of difference yeah :P I think we should let Twistadee in on this.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Lovren was shit at Lyon They was happy to get rid off him.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Winning us the CL was nothing special!!! Do me a favour Eric your posts must make sense.

    ReplyDelete
  51. That's our luck. In summer our first choice was Shaqiri but Bayern did not want to sell. Now we spent the money and if he cost 5mil we don't have it..

    ReplyDelete
  52. Yes mate I agree its a shame if he does get that chop. BR took the liberty of engrossing himself in the history of the club and spoke intently on maintaining the traditions and morality of this great club. He can come across slightly cocky at times but I don't mind that at all that. It's better than Hodgsons defeatist attitude putting Fergie and Man Utd on a pedestal. I'd rather hear BR views that the tasteless Mourinho any day.

    ReplyDelete
  53. If that's your opinion you're listening to the wrong people and reading the wrong papers. Without any shadow of doubt it's also my opinion that Didi Hamman was responsible for stopping the meltdown and the remainder of the team responded to win it.

    ReplyDelete
  54. They're businessmen so they ARE in it just for the money...but you make more money with a winning team than with a mediocre team.

    ReplyDelete
  55. These guys both seem good choices to me but frankly I would be happy with any DM whose first impulse is to turn and go forward rather than immediately pass the ball back to the CBs. I have become so accustomed to this maddingly irritating 'tactic' that I believe it must be a Liverpool hallmark, taught at the Academy from day 1 and drilled into our DMs through constant repetition. Please lifers...tell me it's a temporary malady.

    ReplyDelete
  56. I sure hope Sturridge fulfills his potential with us. You're completely correct with your comment. Transfers are always a risk.

Re Shaq, I'm not too fussed about the player either. It just fusses me that the club missed out on a player they've wanted for the longest time, that should be easily within reach financially and indicated six months ago that he would have liked to join Liverpool for this season but Bayern blocked it. Just a bit of a worrying sign for the rest of the transfer window.

Fingers crossed Ian Ayre has a close encounter of the third kind and goes all out to sign Pjanic and Jackson Martinez!

    ReplyDelete
  57. We may as well offer 20 mill for Messi too.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Vidic is past it and finished, no thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Don't get so wound up over a fabricated story.

    ReplyDelete
  61. also according to the media we're about to sign benzema, willian, sergio ramos, schneiderlin, khedira, neuer and maradonna is going to be our director of football soon! As we know from history, football speculations are always right!

    Can't wait!

    ReplyDelete
  62. Have seen at least half a dozen of articles about Higuain and Rafa not getting along very well..

    ReplyDelete
  63. Saquiri to Inter. Good. We have enough of those on our bench and I am not sure he would be better than what we have. Now we allegedly turned to Pjanic from Roma, now he could make an impact immidatelly, me thinks...

    ReplyDelete
  64. all the AS Roma midfielders are quality. Strootmann, Naingolan and Pjanic

    ReplyDelete
  65. Naingolan would fit us too..

    ReplyDelete
  66. We've been after pretty much all Roma's midfield and I'm almost certain he's turned us down as well

    ReplyDelete
  67. And that LB is even better than Moreno..

    ReplyDelete
  68. Hahaha good with the ladies

    ReplyDelete
  69. Nooo, I was serious- that Greek guy, Holebas.

    ReplyDelete
  70. And FSG are going to give Rodgers £25-£30m to buy Pjanic? Ha ha.

We apparently offered Lille £3m to end Origi's loan deal but they want double. That also looks to be off now. Why should we pay an extra £6m for Origi who will most likely be sitting on the bench if it was down to Rodgers.

    ReplyDelete
  71. moreno can't defend. he's only a winger that 'learned' how to play as a lb

    ReplyDelete
  72. If you press hard and have a good midfield, you only need one of your full backs to be good in defending, the other has to be fast and slide in twice a match...

    ReplyDelete
  73. Moreno is only 22 though so the right coaching can sort him out but with Rodgers and his yes men I do not see him improving.

    ReplyDelete
  74. As some already said- sack him or give him funds. Not sacked yet so... Even if sacked, the next manager will get the money, I am talking about Liverpool, not BR targets..

    ReplyDelete
  75. Jamie, liverpool were linked with moves for a lot of keepers before the January transfer but we are almost 10 days in and the rumors have absolutely dried. I understand rumors are not always reliable but shouldn't liverpool be doing more to be trying and getting a more confidence and established keeper even if it has to be a stop gap

    ReplyDelete
  76. Not sure the next manager will be given loads to spend. We are already swamped with players on loan and our current squad is also loaded. The next manager will have to try get rid of some players who he believes are not good enough and then use that cash to purchase his own.

    ReplyDelete
  77. aND 25 MILL after getting rid of dead wood for a high quality player on a position we desperately need improvment ain't too much. Because our dead wood cost some money too.

    ReplyDelete
  78. We need people like you Managing instead of Brendan Rogers. perhaps you should buy the club and we will all be happy that it is in safe hands. lol!

    ReplyDelete
  79. Darthmount. Got it.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Brendan Rodgers should have offloaded Borini in the summer and brought someone other than Balotelli in. We spent £16M on Mario, and we kept Borini. He should have been told outright that he had no future at Liverpool so that he would leave. Rodgers was too soft on him. We could have bought better in the summer with over £20M to spend, possibly even have afforded Bony at that time. Oh well, c'est la vie.

    ReplyDelete
  81. No, bob, Dirtmouth. With the stress on the -mouth.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Nainggolan would just be fantastic for us, best defensive midfielder in Serie A in my opinion, and supposedly available.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Nainggolan and Pjanic are worth breaking the bank for.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Not forgetting the great De Rossi.

  86. No, in this context, loathe is correct, and I've used that word deliberately. I don't care if it's technically incorrect:

    Loath = unwilling/reluctant.
Loathe = a feeling of intense hatred

'loathe' is how I feel about making the Michu/Bony point in the article, i.e. I absolutely hate making the point because it highlights such severe transfer incompetence.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Where is Michu now?

    ReplyDelete
  88. In the kitchen getting a sandwich

    ReplyDelete
  89. It's in Germandy

  90. I'm loathe to agree with you (he he)

    ReplyDelete
  91. I was having a wild dream about us signing Pjanic the other day, and then we were linked with him. I was pretty stoked. Though I reckon he'd struggle in the premier league really: he's a bit too fond of the center circle. And at the same time is my second favourite playmaker in Europe at the moment, after Modric.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Yeah like Suarez, Sterling, Henderson, Enrique, Skrtel, Flanagan, Carragher, Gerrard...[etc]. I mean these players' careers have just nosedived under Rodgers, and none of them have a good word to say about him, right?

    ReplyDelete
  93. a case of could have been, if, but, then..... it's perfectly normal

    ReplyDelete
  94. why do you always want to be so negative and pessimistic about any player that's spoken good about? as for the wages, unless it's affecting you personally, one gets what can get. free market economy. ever been in employment, where you got a salary - unless you got load of dosh & a business going.

    ReplyDelete

  97. our planet is called arse

    ReplyDelete
  98. Had a read of that, thanks mate. It's basically just saying what we already know. There's so much dithering when it comes to getting deals done as well. Remember Salah to name but one. I'm all for not overpaying for players but haggling for weeks over peanuts is really frustrating

    ReplyDelete
  99. I tried this approach when he was mis-spelling Schneiderlin 100 times a day but it was to no avail

    ReplyDelete
  100. And a certain Mr Gerrard

    ReplyDelete
  101. Sissoko won't want to know now. He'll realise his worth & set his sights on arsenal. Our scouting is rubbish! I've said it for years now that we lack the genetics of a tough African in the middle of the park. Tough, fit, strong with skill! Not to say Europeans can't do the role Matic is a great example. But Africans/French Africans have had a conveyor belt of tough midfielders for years. Sadly we've turned a blind eye in the majority of cases!

    ReplyDelete
  102. I'm glad you included "us signing".

It would absolutely be a dream signing. Perhaps he'd do okay in the PL if he was partnered with a couple of dynamos with good first touches like Nainggolan and Lallana. We'd have the movement without him actually having to do too much himself. His passing and game intelligence is just sublime.

Ah, Modric. What a player. Madrid are spoiled.

I have to declare that the last time I had a dream about a football transfer it was a nightmare about Torres leaving for Chelsea, and about two months later it came to pass. So maybe there's hope for Pjanic in red yet.

  103. Cheers mate. I share your frustration. Equally frustrating is that the mainstream media seems to take ages to catch up with supporters' conversations. Part of the problem, maybe.

Sometimes it feels like the transfer honchos feel like saving 3 or 4m by spurning a player is a bigger victory than signing a good player. I don't get it. Not our money, I guess. We can but hope for the top signings. In the meantime, I've bought Fifa 15 haha. Vicarious living.

  104. Greg, We couldn't sign numerous world class talents due to fact our owners don't want to pay world class wages and the top players don't know or want to play for B Rodgers.

Veratti(22) is a top class talent and if we try we may have chance of landing him.

  105. No chance and due to FFP our wage bill is under intense scrutiny we cant afford much at the moment.
Why would Veratti leave a C.L. team playing regularly with top players and getting a big wage to play Europa league next season at best.

We have gone from 2nd to 8th as well so whats your point, enough with the or poor BR who lost Suarez and Sturridge, he has had plenty of time and money to fix this issue the problem at LFC is they need to go back to watching players play in the market and judging them on their ability not just on stats....i too think that he cant get it right and never will, here it is another tranfer window and we have missed a player already, and im tired of people saying it must be the place that players do not want to come to, bullshit stars play in Russia for christ sake, it comes down to who is selling the club to the player and at the moment we must have the Muppets representing us.

  108. I note that you chose to attack the 2nd sentence rather than disagree with the first one. Sadly typical of angry LFC fans - focusing on the smaller details.
