LFC fans tell FSG: We don't want this ex-Manc as Liverpool manager...

Kenny Dalglish will not be at Liverpool forever, and after this season's astoundingly poor league performance, it's debatable whether he will even be here next season. Irrespective of the club's current state, the Liverpool job is one of the most coveted in world football, and there will be dozens of managers queuing up for consideration. When the time comes, current France manager Laurent Blanc should (arguably) be amongst the potential candidates, but it seems like Liverpool fans are totally against the possibility.

Blanc is currently preparing for Euro 2012, but in an interview Le Parisien this week, he revealed that the right job could tempt him back into club management:

"It is always gratifying to be appreciated by the big clubs. If an exceptional challenge is proposed to me, I could very well decide to leave [France]"

Liverpool FC is definitely an 'exceptional challenge', and Blanc fits the profile of type of manager needed at Liverpool (Young; progressive; modern techniques etc).

None of this seems to matter to some Liverpool fans though. I conducted a poll last week asking whether fans would like to see Blanc at Anfield one day, and the results were pretty conclusive:

* Close to 5000 people took part in the poll.
* 63% voted 'NON' to Blanc at Liverpool.

Reading through the comments posted to accompany the poll, the same theme kept arising: Blanc played for Man United, so he shouldn't be Liverpool manager. Is this a legitimate reason to rule out one of the most promising young managers in the game?

I don't think so; if it was Paul Scholes, Gary Neville, or even Eric Cantona, I could understand - and I would agree! - but Blanc was only at United for five minutes; he's not a true 'Manc', and I doubt he has any special allegiance to Man United.

  1. i'm not bothered that he played for the dark side. i still think there are better managers to be had out there. saying that,if he does well with france and their disruptive, arrogant, prima donnas, this summer......it may put a different slant on things?

  2. some villans don't want to see the true: Kenny is rebuilding the Club and He will stay for the long time: fact. We're Carling Cup winners and We're in Fa CUp Final: fact. We won 3-0 at Carrow Road: fact. Get a grip, or fuck off if You're not able to support the CLub as well as Travelling Kop. DALGLISH!!! DALGLISH!!!! DALGLISH!!! DALGLISH"!!!! DALGLISH!!!

  4. Rafa!  that is the only answer.  His record speaks for itself on a shoe string budget.  With the stability we have now he will make us a force again locally and in europe.  Even his ardent critic will accept that with exception of his last season in charge given all the distractions in the boardroom he did a good job.  No manager in our recent history has made us such a force in europe like he did. Ask juve, bacrca, bayern, inter, ac, chelski.  Get him in FSG!!!

  5. No to Rafa, if we win cup next week then Kenny will have the same amount of trophies in 16 months that it took Rafa 6 years to win plus were playing a much better brand of attacking football instead of defensive counter attack, thanks but no thanks!!!

  6. No Manc's here Jaimie. 5 mis or 5 years, makes no difference, once a Manc always a Manc.

  7. Big fan of Unai Emery  of Valencia. He will be leaving them this summer - they sold David Villa, David Silva and Juan Mata and still are 3rd place in La Liga .
Marcelo Alberto Bielsa of Athletic Bilbao is another decent candidate. But i think Emery is the best one out there and he is available.

  8. You mean 2004/5 - league cup final, champions league win first season, 2005/6 charity shield, super cup, runners world club championship, champions league quarter finals 2006/7 champions league final, 2007/8 champions league semi 3rd in league, 2008/9 2nd in league etc it will take KD light years to get this profile without much money!!

  9. we will be going backwards.  With stability and  set budgets rafa is the man.  He already lives locally!!

  13. I disagree. It is irrational.

...and before someone asks, I am a Scouser. Born and bred.

I think he is a good candidate but there are others I would prefer. I certainly wouldn't be disappointed if he were given the job.

  15. Its going to be a VERY interesting summer........

IF we do win the FA Cup.....and continue to play well in the league....then FSG will have to seriously consider their next move....

Personally, i think that they do want to change things at the Club, the firing of Comolli was only half the job done IMO, and who could blame them if they ask for Kennys resignation in the summer due to a failure to finish in the top4...?

As for Blanc i would say that he shouldn't be dismissed on the basis of having a short stay with Manu, we are far too insular already and that approach needs to be ditched if we want to move forward, im not saying he should replace Kenny but he should at least be judged on what he can do as opposed to who he did it with...

  16. If he can achieve what an ex-liverpool, Sir Matt Busby, did with United he is sure as hell welcome from my part.

  17. It is totally rubbish!  We need stability at the club and we need to give Kenny longer and allow him at least another season.  We gave Rafa and Houllier longer and we gave Shankley 7 years!  The Mancs gave Fergie seven years before he even won the FA cup.  Changing the manager every five minutes is not the answer to everything and when Kenny delivers the FA Cup next week you will all be proclaiming him a god.  You lot are a bunch of traitors and hypocrites!  Get behind the manager and the team; that is what true supporters do, stick together through good times and bad.  Or have you all forgotten what state we were in 18 months ago?  At that time we were almost without a club at all!  Our league status gives us no street cred, but on the other hand we have only lost two more games than Arsenal and the same as Chelsea and Newcastle.  It is our old problem: too many draws, even in the mighty almost did it 2008-9 season!  Get a reality check and get behind the team.  Give Kenny a chance!

    ReplyDelete
  18. no skunner315 is right he only won 2, besides we need to move forward not backwards, we finished 7th under rafa in his last season

    ReplyDelete
  19. you also conveniently forgot 7th place in his final year and his final 4 trophy-less years and how he turned inter milan from champions league winners to pure muck

  20.  What is the point of a new manager Jamie when you'll just moan about him too.. Liverpool have a great side and play great football as shown today, just need a natural finisher beside Suarez, a winger with quality, and a midfielder and Liverpool will be one of the best sides in Europe again..

    ReplyDelete
  21. My point exactly.

  22. Not convinced with the way Valencia have fell apart in the middle of this season. They're lucky that the likes of Malaga, Bilbao, Levante and Sevilla haven't been more consistent. Also the fact that Villareal and Atletico have underachieved has helped.

Has certainly coped well with losing players though and his overall record is respectable. Wins marks for being young and for his brave and welcome comments on gay footballers (the big taboo in footy).

  23. With new recruits worth 100 mil pounds upwards plus the squad KD
inherited, we are now fighting very hard for 7th in EPL, presently still
languishing in 8th. It's quite astounding to hear that KD needs to be given more time. He is not the candidate to deliver Champions Leagues football for LFC, let alone EPL Championship.

Also, I don't think KD has an eye for talented young foreign players. Even if he buys them, they will be left to rot in the reserves. Despite Rafa's inability to deliver EPL Championship for LFC, at least he bought some players that were sold at a later stage for profit. Try selling our CA, JH, SD and AC this summer and see what we will get. Oh yes, some of us here echo the view that 20 mil JH and 35 mil AC are players for the future as proclaimed.

Sadly, we will not have players in the mold of Henry, Vieira, Fabregas cheap and young upon arrival but developed into truly world class players. So far we only have Alonso and Hyypia to speak of. Both Rafa and KD are not good at identifying cheap potential youngsters and more importantly, developing them. Rafa only wanted to buy instant success which is only achievable by investing tons of money whereas KD only keen to build an all-British LFC. Just remind everyone that we don't have oil fields as backup. FSG is a profit-making organization, so don't expect them to pump mil of pounds every season in player purchase, especially on mediocre players with inflated price tags due to nationality.

At the end of the season, the league standings is here for all to see. Did we have a good season despite the change in managers and heavy investments in players? Luckily most of us here have already adjusted our expectations, I suppose. EPL Championship was out ages ago. Qualification for Champions League is now out since 2012-13 is the 3rd season without it and we are further away from it than we ever had. So let's concentrate on the fight for 7th place in EPL, perhaps 1 or 2 domestic cup wins next season and Europa Cup qualification.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Did we give Rafa and Houllier 130 mil pounds to spend during their first 18 months plus an existing squad consisting of full-fledged internationals? I will have to adjust my expectation greatly in order to be convinced that KD is the best candidate as manager of LFC.

  25. It seems your not prejudiced towards a ex Man U player being manager at Liverpool Jaime, yet you are prejudiced to a Liverpool player that works his socks off harder than any player in the team ATM. Every player cheats, whether its wasting time, falling down easily, moaning to the ref for a decision they know is right, ext.

Truth can hurt some times, and thats the case of Suarez because he came out and said something every player in the EPL doesn't have the guts to say, but these same players still do it anyways on the pitch and that is CHEAT.

Did you see how Norwich players wrestled Suarez so he couldn't get to the ball. He didn't even get a yellow for that intentional play of cheating. Players of these type would LIE to the question Suarez answered truthfully. Hypocritically speaking, players would perform cheating on the pitch and never admit to it; take Young for example, has he come out and said sorry, did he learn his lesson after QPR? Just because someone hasn't gone to the press and say they will cheat doesn't make them church priests.

All I wanted to do was give a HOORAY to Suarez for his hatrick on ur thread today but the thread was closed because you couldn't understand the opinions of people. Why is it closed, I thought this was site for fans to state there opinons.

  26. Please look at liverpool stats for the current season before writing nonsence!!!! Team with the most shots at goal, most corners and most woodwork hit and also the lowest shot against!!! KD has laid the foundations of this team and that's quite impressive the signings have adapted in this little time!!! We just need one/two world class players and thats it!!! One world class striker Llorente would do!!

  27. A chance for what??? spend another 100 mil on everage player or maintain on our current spot on the league table??? A good manager don't make this kinda dump mistake and if kenny love liverpool PLS go back to your ambassador role, let liverpool blossom under great manager and kick mans asss.

  31. You are the hypocrite, you think we enjoy seeing the club going down because KD questions the 'fans' intelligence' for being criticized  for poor results? KD's days are numbered and please stop counting your chickens before the eggs hatch..they are foxes out there.  Its the worst season since 1953, TRUE supporters will stand with the club not an individual, remember Shankley? There is not much money outside CL, owners are not going to throw money around, things are tight and they want a turn around.  Which players would have come to us last summer? Aguero, Silva, Mata etc you know why we did not get them, Kenny does not know nothing about any player beyond the UK isles.  Please argue your point correctly and remember we are in bad times.

  32. I can't understand y people hate rafa he is a legend what people don't understand is that rafa done all the above with little cash he picked out the world class players to buy but couldn't do it coz of the money. Ok he brought in a few hopeless players but he brought class ones as well. Also yes rafa did lose it in the end and we finished 7th but y coz he was fighting for the fans against those ex yank owners of r's. European cup winner and don't u forget it. Rafa legend.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I think it's a lot more irrational to want a player out of the club because he had a row with a Manc, than it is to not want a Manc at the club as manager.

  36. Are all your articles only about Kenny daglish and how poor the season  has been jamie? Dont you do any on the  positives? Do you do any on a game by game basis with player ratings and that? your articles to me in my opinion are not balanced. It is getting  a wee bit too predictable.

You spoke of Gomes being at liverpool earlier as a mistake by liverpool. yet fail to mention that other strikers like Carol, Robbie Kean, Morientes to name a few were scoring for fun before they joined liverpool and flopped here.

Toress Flopped so far at chelsea. So yes It may of worked but for 35 mil it is also a gamble to. All i ask is you give a balanced article. Kenny will be hear next season. Im not an absolute lover of his however we are not currently looking for a new manager.

    Over and out.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Brilliant!!!!

Like FSG would come here and take this seriously.

And just to add, Blanc, no way.  He played for the filth up the road.  Anyone suggesting otherwise needs to read up on LFC.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Are you a sky sports viewer Skunner315?

Rafa improved the team and raised all our expectations playing the famous 'pressing' game he fine tuned at Valencia.  For some reason, people interpret this as counter attacking - it isn't.

If you want the archetypal counter attacking manager - look no further than Houllier or Hodgson.

Rafa always likes his teams to play on the front foot, pushing high up the pitch - one of the reasons he signed Danny Agger.  How you confuse that with counter attacking is beyond me.  Check out the Milan teams of the 80's - these were a huge influence on Senor Benitez.  The philosophy is to press high up the pitch with high intensity.

    This is NOT counter attacking.

Rafa won the biggest club trophy - the european cup.  He won the FA cup, took us to 3 other cup finals (incl Super cup).  Turned us into regular top four challengers and almost won the league.

And the highest ranked team in Europe.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I should have added, the article title is misleading beyond comprehension.

It suggests a meeting took place about the next manager and FSG took note of fans comments.

Ludicrous.  Something I have noticed about this site, it uses inappropriate quotations out of context or things like *THIS* to draw people's attention to a story reported elsewhere.

All I will say is people respect legitimate information reported accurately.

  40. Forget Blanc, we should look closer to home toward a young manager who is over-achieving at a football club deep in a relegation battle, yet admirably continuining to stick to his principle of playing attractive pass and move football.

    Step forward Roberto Martinez.

He has a sound philosophy of playing football the right way - arguably as attractive as anybody in the prem. (Imagine what he could do with better quality players and a decent transfer kitty).

He is young and ambitious and in touch with modern football and the modern day footballer.

He hs an eye for talent and not frightened to take a gamble on "youth" (We have plenty of young players just waiting for their chance to shine and many of us have been screaming for them to get more game time since 4th was out of reach)

He deals well with the media.

    He fits the FSG model.

Has no allegiance to any of our main rivals and has cut his teeth in the prem, over achieving at a club many would have taken back down to the Championship by now.

In my opinion, it's actually not that much more a gamble than someone who has not managed in the prem, and only spent 5 minutes playing in it.

In my opinion, if it's not us it will be another "top club" that takes the gamble and proves me right....Roberto Martinez has what it takes to be successful at the highest level.

FSG should act this summer...FSG should appoint Roberto Martinez as the man to begin a bright new chapter in the success of our great club.

    ReplyDelete
  41. But the Owners then were taking away money from the transfer kitty.  Dalglish has been spoilt with more money than anyone else in Liverpool's history.  Comparing Rafa's record in his last season to Dalglish's first full season in charge in totally ludicrous.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Like you got behind Roy Hodgson?

    ReplyDelete
  43. Fair to say Kenny hasn't got 7 years, and the plan was for Kenny to stabilise the club which, in my opinion, has been achieved. (Note CL qualification is MORE than stability when considering our plight 18 months or so ago).

Whether we like it or not, and for the record I don't, Kenny won't be around forever and we do need to think long term.

Hence my previous comments about replacing ASAP - giving any new replacement (IMO - Roberto Martinez) the appropriate amount of time to continue from Kenny's efforts / rebuild as deemed appropriate.

That because we were playing for the big prizes much harder to win, that carling and FA, still won the big one though, let see how many years it take King to win a European cup,not less than Rafa that for sure.

All Rafa critics lack basic logic FACT! The Sky generation eh? No independent thought, BRAINWASHED sheep in front of a TV.

  47. can't believe the fact that nobody has mentioned that blanc was embroiled in that nonsense about france giving too many acadamy chances to "non whites", i think we need to stay well clear of this man

    ReplyDelete
  48. I think even if Kenny finishes with the fa cup and carling cup fsg might give him a limited budget and sell current players to buy more will be there way of saying we dont trust you but we can maybe just give you a little. I for one admit that he is got it completely wrong apart from Suarez, Enrique, bellamy. Fsg gave enough money to try and hope that kenny would deliver the 4th spot atleast plus apart from cups we didnt have as many games like europa league so atleast we should have been there this year. I would like to see a good tall cb (hypia) , a clever striker  and a right winger. I reckon kenny will just go for a striker and trust the rest of the group and maybe promote youth as I cant see him given another 100 million.

  50. Thats right he did, so that means we had four trophy less years under rafa and people want him back where Lenny has not had one full season yet without a trophy and were playing much better attacking football than we ever did under rafa, so I'm baffled why people want to go back to that, kenny will always understand what Liverpool fc fans above any other manager that's around!!

  53. High up the pitch!! You kidding?? The only person high up the pitch was Torres and he became sick of the lack of supply in the last 12 months of benitez's reign, he was a peripheral figure in that time, and another thing that Valencia team that he won the league with was Hecto Cuper's team, he took over at Christmas for the first league title and the squad was the same for the following year, our champions league winning team was all houllier's except for xabi, luis, josemi. Benitez is a lucky manager not a great one as his 6 month failure at a dominant at a recent treble winning side illustrate's!!

  56. There's better managers than Blanc out there, but we need a top manager with influence across europe, someone that won't take crap and defend it,  or talk drivel at press interviews. someone that knows the value of a player he wants to sign, unlike someone we know.

    ReplyDelete

  68. you have to feel sorry for FSG:  KD so just throwing more and more money away.  Ramirez 20 million euro, are you having a laugh?  How much was mata who was at least had a proven pedigree.  herein lies the  problem.  Clueless KD out of the game for too long and just can't cut it any more  The game has moved on!!!.  I for one knows that had rafa  had 100mil to spend we would probably have in the likes of levecci, cavani, villa, javi martinez or even mata in the team,.  All managers make mistakes of course but when you blow almost 60million on downing and carroll you need your head examined.  Tops for the two 25mil.  Legend for our club yes, manager for the future hell no!!!

    ReplyDelete
  69. I must point out that you only referred to the last 12 months of his reign, which is in fact incorrect.  We missed Alonso in his last season, and the fact the owners pulled the plug on the Jovetic signing was a key factor.  Watch a selection of our performances over his tenure - we were NOT a counter attacking side.  Organised, yes.  Pressing, yes.  Counter attacking, no!

Also at Valencia - he was not lucky.  He took over won the league.  The next season, he changed things and the team finished 5th.  The following season, he won the league again.  Your suggestion of luck playing such a role twice in three years, is in fact, utter and complete nonsense.

I purposely did not mention milan but as you bring it up, he went in there and tried to change the culture from Mourinho's counter attacking philosophy to a high pressing game.  For this players need to be physically fit - he came in and found players had done no gym work under Mourinho and he had a squad getting no younger.  He tried to implement a gym regime but injuries occured (I think 8 first teamers at one point, a combination of gym work and age??), he was given little money for signings but still managed to win two trophies.

Funny how he always seems to get lucky wherever he goes.........

He is young and could succeed at LFC for 20 years+.....if we don't grab him somebody will.

    FSG - I hope you're reading :)

  73. If we are going to go on about a managers past achievements at Liverpool and use the past achievements as justification why that manager should manage the club then fair enough!

    Kenneth Mathieson Dalglish

    3 x Football League First Division: 1985–86, 1987–88, 1989–90
    2 x FA Cup: 1985–86, 1988–89
    1 x Football League Cup: 2011–12

And could he be about to add to this?

Community Shield is not counted! However if you are counting them then Dalglish has won 4 and shared 2.

Rafa has been well and truely trumped.

P.s. I like Rafa but I'm a realist and know he's took us as far as he can and we need to move on!

    ReplyDelete
  74. Are you completely mad. Rafa won hebchampions league! That counts as 4 carling cups if not more!!!! Also another champions league final. We won 1 cup and sitting 8th so far! Rafa got sacked finishing 7th when he had mney taken away and the board wantng to sell the club. I want rafa back!

  75. Skunner. Torres, alonso, mascherano, agger, aberloa, sissoko, skertl, reina, kuyt, lucas. These signings speak for itself.

  76. Seriously, i am not saying kenny will fail but he is on borrowed time. Lets ne honest, if it was anyone else other than kenny the king, would you still have wanted to keep him after spending the amount of money on those players, sitting 8th and never at any point of the season came close to 4th? The constant playing of hendersen when dropping kuyt. Really? Maxi doesn't get a look in scoring

  77. Are you mad? Those were the days when liverpool were by far the best team. Jamie are you kidding?

"Irrespective of the club's current state, the Liverpool job is one of the most coveted in world football, and there will be dozens of managers queuing up for consideration."

The reason we got stuck with Hodgson was because they sacked Rafa without lining up a replacement, then we were stuck in the humiliating position of being a manageress club that no decent manager would come near. Hodgson was nobody's first choice, we took him in the end because nobody else of any quality wanted the job.

The Liverpool job is a poison chalice right now. We're not as good as we expect to be, and unless the manager has a huge amount of goodwill with the fans (ie Kenny), then anything but instant success will have large numbers of fans turning against them right from the start.

If Kenny leaves, there's won't be dozens of good managers queuing up for consideration. There'll be Rafa.

  79. I find it amazing that after all the quality player where sold by Rafa under Hicks and Gillett, follwed by the regime of distructiion under Christian Purslow we critisize Dalglish for not returning us to the top 4 in his first full season.

Lets bebunk a few myths here.

    Rafa season

    1. 2004/2005 - Finished 5th 58pts, won CL amazing win. However in the league finished 5th. Just for those people out there who don't know. In Rafa's first season we finished with a worse points total than under the previous manager Gerrard Houllier.

    2. 2005/2006 - After begging UEFA allowed back in the CL finish 4th FA Cup winners. 3rd 82pts

    3. 2006/2007 - 3rd place 68pts
    4. 2007/2008 - 4th place 78pts
    5. 2008/2009 - 2nd place 86pts
    6. 2009/2010 - 63 pts 7th place

We won the CL however after 6 years we never won the league! 6 YEARS. We never won a tap in Rafas last 4 YEARS.

Now this year weve WON a cup and are in the final of another. Surely thats a positive and we can afford the manager at least another year to get the league form right?

Winning breeds winning and next year Liverpool will be in a great position not only to make the top 4 but really have a go at the very top of the table!

We need to stick together and get behind OUR manager! He's not getting the sack, hes not going upstairs, he's not going to step down! He's OUR manager.

4 years and no trophies, culminating in a 7th place finish is no grounds for a manager to return to Liverpool Football Club

  80. Are you joking or what? Martinez? The guy who bearly keeping wigan out of relegation? Am i readin the right thing? My god, how our standard has dropped!

  81. Mata was £23m , Ramirez is valued at £16m (in the tabloid  papers that is)

Rafa blew money on Aquilani £22m, Keane £18m, Babel £11.5m so your hypothetical arguement about giving Rafa £100m doesn't really cut it!

  82. 1. KD is on for finishing under 58pts
Have u thought about that rafa sold those good players in orde to fund for others? He didn't have infinate amount of money.. He is the guy that got us closest to the league title. A bit more backing with money, he stand a better chance than KD who just doesn't have a clue

  83. Let's look at it another way....

We are MILES behind Utd, City, Arsenal etc...OFF the pitch (important) and ON IT.

It will take 3yrs+ to start competing for the Prem, the best we can hope for in the next 3yrs is CL qualification, and that's providing Kenny spends wisely. On the evidence of the last 18 months that's 50/50.

    So.........

We need to address things from a long term pespective. Kenny is NOT the long term solution.... and he is my idol.

There are two young managers who, in my opinion would be ideal....I say that as Pep & Jose would be short term appointments so am choosing to ignore.

    They are:

    Didier Deschamps & Roberto Martinez.

Owing to his experience of the Prem, I would opt for Martinez. He fits the bill and looking at the style of play he insists on at Wigan, albeit with lower calibre footballers than he would have at his disposal at our great club, I would suggest we act sooner rather than later. After all, there will be other clubs taking note of his abilities.

  84. You are reading correctly.

Not many managers would "barely" keep them up ...and the fact that he stuck to his principles and style of play whilst under the most immense amount of pressure is admirable.

Most other managers would have buckled last year, never mind this year - so further credit for his guts and determination.

All done on a shoestring budget, he knows talent when he sees it and willing to give youth an option - if you're good enough you're old enough right.

He's a young manager cutting his teeth and he WILL prove to be a highly successful manager gaining plaudits for the manner of football he demands. He knows his ow mind and won't be swayed by the media etc etc....

It's not about our standards dropping, far from it....he's ready right now....and A.N.OTHER "Top" club will take what could be perceived as a gamble on him fairly soon and I'm 100% confident he will succeed....I'm inclined to think this summer will see him napped up by smeone.

After all....every manager starts somewhere right.

  85. Rafa has unfinished business. I really think given the backing, he can deliver.

  86. What has gym work got to do with it?? For fitness yes, for football no, Shank's, Paisley, Daglish, Guardiola, Cryuff, Michels, all these managers teams do their training "with" the ball, Carragher said that was one the differences between Dalglish and previous managers was they train more with the ball, it makes sense as they are professional "footballers" a team of mr motivator's and jillian michaels won't win any league!!!

  87. There was no knee injury, he took him of f for a champions league game on Tuesday or Wednesday but there was no injury hence Gerrard's shocking reaction.

  88. I wish you wouldn't clog newsnow up with your negative Liverpool tripe. Yes we know you don't like Suarez. Yes we know you don't think KK is the man to take us forward. But what we also know is that a poll with 5,000 participants is by no means conclusive because there are millions of Liverpool fans worldwide who have their own opinions. Change the record and stop slagging the players and manager off for a change! Translated - show some support for the club if you have to continue writing.
