During his regular 'Tuesday Club' podcast for Arsenal fans, the star of TV shows QI and Jonathan Creek criticised the club's decision not to play on the 15th of April. He raged:
"Liverpool FC and the 15th - that gets on my tits that shit. What are you talking about, 'We won't play on the day'. Why can't they? Do they play on the date of the Heysel Stadium disaster?
"How many dates do they not play on? Do Man United play on the date of Munich? Do Rangers play on the date when all their fans died in that disaster whatever year that was - 1971?"
Davies then admitted that he 'hated' Kenny Dalglish, adding:
"Every interview he's given this season he looks like he wants to head-butt the interviewer. This tight-mouthed, furious, frowning, leaning-forward, bitter Glaswegian ranting, 'Liverpool FC do not play on April 15th'."
EDIT: I may be a Liverpool fan but I do not in any way condone the death-threats being hurled at Davies on Twitter. It's pathetic, and just makes the fanbase look bad. Making death threats online is a crime, and if the idiots doing it had half a brain cell they would realise they can be tracked down and charged by the Police.
I've said it before, but I hate Twitter with a vengeance; it's nothing but an online sanctuary for society's racists, bigots and cowards.
