Angry LFC star blasts: Newcastle's James Perch is a 'Joke'...

Injured defender Glen Johnson has slammed James Perch for his disgraceful play-acting during Newcastle's 2-0 win over Liverpool earlier today.

During a fracas with Pepe Reina, Perch crumpled to ground like he'd just been shot in the face, yet video replays show there was nowhere near enough contact to cause such an extreme reaction.

Reina was stupid to lose his cool and attempt a Zidane right in front of the referee, but Perch's shameful histrionics probably influenced the referee's decision to show the Spaniard a red card.

Reina Red Card (skip to 3:49)

Johnson was disgusted by Perch's play-acting, and tweeted:

"What have I just seen. Is Perch for real?!?!?! #Joke"

Perch should be embarrassed by that; it's almost as bad as Rivaldo's play-acting at against Turkey at the World Cup in 2002:

Overall, Reina probably deserved the red card for his stupidity and intent, and Newcastle deserved to win the game, but that doesn't change the fact that Perch basically cheated in a bid to get a fellow professional sent off.

Here's some reaction from other footballers on twitter:

Steven Pienaar:

"Perch just won an Oscar for that acting"

Rio Ferdinand

"Players feigning injuries or players that go down & act like they have been hit by a lorry etc do my head in massively"

We should all
have to start wondering:

1.
Are John W. Henry, Thomas Werner, Ian
Ayre, and Damiel Comolli possessed with the same feelings of humiliation and embarrassment
as most of LFC’s fans are by watching one of the most historic teams to be humiliated
by all of its opponents in 2012?

2.
Do they really have the pure
intentions, as they are trumpeting, to turn around the fortunes of this team?

3.
When will they finally realize that
as long as they do not act decisively and immediately to appoint a world class
manager and sack Kenny Dalglish this team will always be on the red alert zone?

4.
Will John W. Henry and Thomas Werner
start eventually protecting their investment and the sponsors who are heavily investing
in LFC’s world-recognized brand name?

5.
Will John W. Henry and Thomas Werner eventually
and finally be consulted honestly by the football experts and informed that
what it is happening to LFC in 2012 is not a normal and healthy condition/development?

6.
Will Ian Ayre as the Managing
Director and Damiel Comolli as the football director finally start acting as
pure professionals and step aside any emotions of favoritism towards Kenny
Dalglish and finally advise/consult John W. Henry and Thomas Werner to make the
right decision(s)?

7.
Will Kenny Dalglish finally start
acting as a pure Liverpoollian and step down as LFC’s manager as he can help
this team find its recovery path?

come on, i think your concentrating on the wrong guy here, yes perch made a meal of it. but to be fair to him, he went for a ball that was there to be won, he went in fairly, pepe reacted like a spoiled kid say dont touch my ball, and even if perch didnt go down, pepe should have gone, for the going in first with his head, regardless of how hard he went in

Scouse slayers said...

"But that doesn't change the fact that Perch basically cheated in a bid to get a fellow professional sent off." What is your stance on Carroll cheating in a bid to get a fellow professional (Krul) sent off? Seeing as there was absolutely no contact with the Carroll/Krul incident compared to definate contact in the Perch incident.

carrolls just as bad then, trying to get a penalty by throwing himself over when there was no contact over an open goal? lol kop mugs

No doubt, had a penalty been awarded when Carroll dived when no one was near him then these same Reds would have been equally outraged.

Reina should be sold in the summer, had enough of his BS "performances"....today he fcuked up, IF the shoe had been on the other foot and say it was Suarez who had been approached with a head in the face.....is anyone going to tell me that he wouldn't have done EXACTLY the same???

At least he won't have to keep up his pretence for the next 3 games.....

Why don't you mention that Glen?

Hmmm....

Kyle said...

1. Have you seen Reina's blunders lately? QPR's goals could have been saved, as well as Ba's earlier today if he had actually moved, yet he didn't. Same for the goals from Wigan.

2. Doni gets a chance.

3. Looking forward to having Rafa Benitez back this summer.

Alright lads?- Newcastle Fan here.

Just a point, I was at the match today and only about 15 foot away from Suarez when he pretended to get hit in the face by gutierrez and actually did a pretend scream with pain... Pathetic.

At least Perch got hit?

As for Johnson and Ferdinand... I'll bet you my life savings they'd do the same thing, it's part of football.

People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

Nobby said...

There was contact... have you not seen the picture with his nose squashed by Reina's forehead?

Nobby said...

Is this in english?

Phaaz Buucke said...

Reina made contact  - he had to go (his intention was clear). Anyway it had no impact on the game. The bigger story is that Dalglish looks like he's lost the dressing room. Not dissimilar to what happened with him at Newcastle and Celtic. Now the question for LFC fans is would it be a good thing to win the FA Cup and that Dalglish stays on as manager into next season? Benitez had a fluke win in the Champions League which made him virtually untouchable despite his ongoing high churn of players (which inevitably meant that sooner or later he'd get a good team together - law of averages saw that happen in first half of 2009 - but that it wouldn't stay together long - see second half of 2009). Dalglish could benefit from a double cup win in the same way even though he clearly looks like he's a long way from putting a team together that can get consistent good results. (Consistent bad results this last few weeks). Now even Gerrard doesn't 'believe' any more.

Reddy said...

It's about time that, J.W.Henry and Thomas Werner done something, (anything).  I don't think that, KD will step down, and lose the obcene wages, he's getting for destroying Liverpool, as he destroyed Newcastle and Celtic!!!

Phaaz Buucke said...

I actually believe Rio did forget to go simply because that's the kind of thing Rio would do. Anyway, even though he took the drug test the next day he served a lengthy ban unlike the Man City player who forgot his drug test around the same time but who only had a two week ban. That's because the FA favour Man Utd over all other clubs.

James Jackson said...

I hope the FA look at the Perch incident as there is something fishy about Perch and his antics. The ref let him off the hook.   Will Perch come clean and admit 5 feathers would have done more damage. I was disgusted by the continual booing of 3 players by the Toon Army. I didn't hear the Reds supporters booing Guthrie.

Alex_Star said...

I can't see them replacing him before end of season. Who would want to come in right now? Rafa as caretaker?

Nobby said...

That's because Guthrie hadn't pledged his career to liverpool (plus he's not even scouse). Carroll did. Every Geordie lad dreams of being Newcastle's number 9. Carroll threw that all away and he did it in a bad way, he went to liverpool for money - nothing more. He's a Judas.

Enrique went to Liverpool for 'Champions league football' The crowd are just rubbing his nose in the fact that Newcastle United are currently higher up the table.

The only other player to get booed was Jordan Henderson. He played for Sunnderland so that was always going to happen with the rivalry we have. You're not from the North East so you won't get it... especially with your 'Friendly derby' with Everton.

And again I'll repeat my Perch point - Look at Suarez... people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones..

Now stop having sour grapes and look towards your next fixture.

Howay the lads.

Phaaz Buucke said...

Reina reminds me of Grobelaar in his last few seasons at LFC - remember 0-2 Arsenal, 3-4 C.Palace, 4-4 Everton, 3-3 Man Utd (twice!). Very typical scorelines of LFC, especially back then. Of course Grobelaar did not throw any games back then - its been proved in court.

And be careful what you wish for, as a Man Utd fan it would be great if Rafa replaces Dalglish at LFC - he can start his transfer merry-go-round again. FSG better have deep pockets.

When did you have a personal look at his record collection? Or did you sneak a look at his mp3 player. Or hang on is that the baahing of a another sheep I hear?

Phaaz Buucke said...

Because the truth hurts and you might just hear it from a non-LFC fan. Man Utd  were pretty much where you are now in the '80s (great captain, great cup wins, regular wins over our biggest red rivals who kept winning the league, expensive english striker who couldn't score i.e. Carroll = Birtles) but Man Utd never really looked like winning the league although we came runners-up twice. Sound familiar? The Man Utd managers talked a great game of football too. Back then a Man Utd fan was a lot more likely to hear the truth from a non-Man Utd fan also.

Wood said...

Pepe was angry, headbutted with intention to hit - and saw correct red!!

Carroll dived - or (more humiliating) fell over the ball!!! and saw yellow. He did want to score today, and deserved better from his opening header. The "penalty" from that would have been given in 50% of matches.

Suarez could have been booked for his screaming, although he has learned, that one man can make another get punished for 8 matches, when you scream the right thing at the right time.

Peach (ehhh - not spelled correct by intention) had nothing to do against Reina in the goalarea, and could have had a  double yellow for the foul and for the teatrical part.

KKD - very few LFC-supporter would take it as an Aprils Fool, if the rumour came out, that he had resigned!! But - I hope he does so in a respectful way by being promoted into a role around the board, as soon as the run for the FA-cup is over (hopefully when the triumph is done at Wembley).

Gerrard and Carragher has to accept that they cannot keep going on in the way, they have done for years, as their approach to the game has been read, and they have grown slower over the years. They cannot lift the team on their own anymore.

I am sure the Mr&Mr Henry and Werner know the situation is tensed around Anfield and Melwood. I am sure they work behind the scenes to bring a solution. Maybe Steve Clark could be ready as caretaker (he has qualified through all his years as second string around). Maybe they have something settled with Bielsa or Laudrup or Schuster or Löw after the Euro's. We do not know - but we can be sure they know the desparation is everywhere around LFC. We just have to wait........ wait.....

There was no contact.

Phaaz Buucke said...

It's not Rafa's "net spend" that is the issue (although that was higher than, say, Ferguson's in the equivalent period), or that the transfers were bad (though many were average) - its the constant 'churn' of players that occurred when Rafa was in charge that's the problem. Its not apparent with the other 'big' clubs he managed (Valencia, Inter) because he was with them for a relatively short period of time but it happened continuously at LFC - check the number of players that came and went at LFC while Rafa was there. That constant churn is destabilising in itself. He was constantly buying and selling players (throwing them together in the hope that a team would stick and, to be fair, he did get a team together in 08-09 but because of the 'churn' factor it was destablised - the messing around with Robbie Keane and Alonso wanting to leave).

As for Dalglish it's not the first time he's bought poor players - check his last year at Liverpool the first time around and most of his purchases at Newcastle. The exceptions are his first round of buying at Liverpool (Barnes/Aldridge/Houghton/Beardsley) and his "Abramowich" type buys while he was at Blackburn (Shearer/Sutton/Flowers). The Blackburn purchases were not that 'clever' though, insofar as he was buying the most expensive available players at the time (he even came close to getting Roy Keane to join Blackburn), a bit like buying Bale or Van Persie today. However the Barnes/Aldridge/Houghton/Beardsley transfers (in 1987?) were inspired - so  much so that I suspect that maybe LFC's 'bootroom' had a bigger influence on transfers than it has been credited for. Just my theory :)

Champions League 2005 was an obvious fluke (and all the more enjoyable because of that) but Premier League 08-09 was also fluke but in a different way:

first third of 08-09 LFC got a lot of points, went unbeaten until they lost to a terrible Spurs team. However for most of that first third of the season LFC did not play that well but got 'lucky' in the number of points picked up (if you check back on the reporting and comments of that time you'll see the phrase 'winning while not playing well is the sign of champions' or similar gets mentioned quite a lot). During the middle third of that season the results started to match the performances and there were many draws culminating in a shambolic defeat against a woeful Middlesbrough. LFC were 10 points behind and out of the running. Rafa at this point abandons his 'safety first' approach to matches and decides to gamble on attack and so for the last third of the season LFC go all out to win every match and outscore their opponents - its this last third of the season that Rafa fans remember fondly as LFC gain points on Man Utd, and they forget all the unadventurous home draws earlier in the season. Everyone remembers the Arsenal 4-4 in the league and the Chelsea 4-4 in Europe - typical Rafa, eh? But the point is that the league was already gone (10 points behind) before this exciting run in the last third of the season started. The flukey bit is that the team Rafa put together was a result of the churn of players - he'd put together a team almost at random but there was no way it could be sustained as Rafa's own methods (i.e. the "churn" itself) undermined it and would soon break it up - as subsequent events showed when Aquilani was brought in for Alonso.

Phaaz Buucke said...

They know they're 11 points ahead of LFC, they know NUFC are a better team (and a better team to watch), and right now that's a lot more than some LFC fans seem to know. But then some LFC fans do know a lot about 'lovely' football.

Wasn't Bob Paisley around as Dalglish's advisor in the late 80's? That probably explains Barnes, Aldridge, Houghton and Beardsley transfers.

Zaki Samsudin said...

How true and how ironic. So Liverpool would probably start winning the league again when Gerrard is just about to retire, maybe in 3 or 4 years time.

Toon said...

Oh well a paper said it so it must be true?! I thought your fans more than others would not believe all you read in the papers? Remember the sun? Should I believe what they wrote? Unless you're a plastic who hasn't a clue about Hillsborough?

Take it from a season ticket holder Pards wasn't boo'd. Most didn't agree with the way Hughton was sacked and that's it. Pardew beat your bin dippers 3-1 in his first game so why would we boo him?

Now you change it to 'chairman ashley'? Big Mike got loads of abuse and it was rightly so after what he did. He isn't the chairman either. I suggest you get your facts right before you make yourself look even stupider than you are (if possible)

Adam said...

Pathetic. Theres no need for it. Anyone who dives or pretends to be hit in the face should be reprimanded by the fa theres no place for cheats. Liverpool fan by the way and I have never seen an lfc side so toothless sentiment has to go as to does KD. Newcastle deserved the win.

Toon said...

If everyone knows it Einstein why are you putting it on the internet?

Toon said...

Another post from Einsten. There were no questions, your lot just started d1ck measuring as usual.

Toon said...

You really think all you need is a finisher and you'd be second? I thought we were supposed to be deluded! What is Suarez then, surely a 22 million pound striker should be able to finish?

Toon said...

So trying to hit a fellow pro isn't cheating? I don't agree with what Perch did but surely the more experienced Reina shouldn't have got himself into that situation. No wonder he isn't rated in Spain if he acts like that

Adam said...

Take your rafa hating elsewhere the guy has been successful nearly every club he has been at granted hes no mourinho but when considering he had to sell to buy players he done a very good job and take into account the revenue he got from us playing cl football he actually made the club money! If the money was there for rafa like it has been for kenny rafa would still be here and had they stuck with him instead of sacking him for woy hodgson we wouldnt be where we are now under kenny so take the sentimental blinkers off

Toon said...

He didn't simulate contact, there was contact. Slight contact yes, but that isn't the point, or the rule. I didn't like Perch going down but people like you need to realise Reina was an idiot going in like he did, does he not watch football? Players go down like that all the time off brushing noses. I'm not condoning it but it's part of the game.

Guest said...

'Acting' is part of the game. When you make a headbutt gesture, you're off. The acting just ensures the referee sees the headbutt.

Everyone does that including Glen Johnson or Rio Ferdinand or Steven Pienaar.

LFCFan said...

He did complain for a penalty. If he didn't ask for 1, he wouldn't have got the card.

LFCFan said...

Kenny's net spend was not 115m, but 38m. And he also trimmed the wage bill by 30m. Besides, Benitez wasn't given much money by Dumb and Dumber.

Misternavin said...

Dalglish isn't going to step down. He's going to have to be fired.  That may mean, Liverpool fans boycotting as they did with Hodgson last year, which I doubt will happen.

Contactjawad said...

should have given perch a reason to go the ground. I think you should probably all concentrate on your $35 mill super star who blatantly tried to milk a penalty. And then worry about perch. yes he did act, but reina head butted him. red card!

Blackwog said...

I have just noticed a trend in his buys they are all from the UK i personally think that KK has a problem with foreign players, i do not know what maybe he just does not like them. Anyway he is a shit manager and his record speaks for itself.

Blackwog said...

At least perch got hit, i hate acting so Suarez pisses me off, and Carroll really pissed me off never liked him from the start, that has just proven to everyone how useless he is, he could have tapped that in, but why is no one mentioning that stupid fall by Ben Arfa when he ran into the box with Enrique, see there are more players than LFC that takes dives, i remember the day that players use to stop the ref from giving cards so if people want to point fingers just like Nobby than i suggest that you go and watch every football game because it is happening in every league. By the way Nobby the comment at least Pearch got hit still in my book is a f%^&*(g joke these boys are becoming pussies not men, acting the way Pearch, Carroll, Suarez etc.... do is shocking not to mention sickening to the core to watch, all i can say is HARDEN THE F$%K UP and get on with what you are being payed for.

You can see from the video of this that Carrol actually tripped over his own feet as he tried going past Krul - maybe he was expecting to be fouled, but the fact remains he simply fell over on his own .
So why a yellow card?? He didnt just dive - he tripped on his own feet !!!

Pastor of Muppets said...

Degen, Zenden, Gonzalez, Morientes, Pellegrino, Josemi.

I'm pro-Rafa btw.

Gary352 said...

pepe touched him. I saw the replays. How can people call that a headbutt? If anything both players should have got sent off. Yellow Perch's trip and second yellow for feigning injury.

Gary352 said...

You can't fault Reina on the first goal. It was headed across the goal coming off the far post. No chance especially since Skrytl fooled Reina by trying to head clear. Second goal, were totally exposed. How can you blame the goalie anyways, when at the end of the day, the team can't score goals.

Gary352 said...

That constant churn of players got rid of the average players as Rafa wanted to only keep world beaters. He would have kept Alonso, he would have maybe kept Keane. He would never have considered selling them if he wasn't in the boat of selling to buy. Maybe Keane because he wasn't as reliable at that price, but look at the resale value we got back. The thing with Rafa, he was changing players constantly to get the right setup to challenge.

Dalglish has had all season to tinker with this squad and they are failing. How can it be any different next season with this group of players? I don't see Dalglish getting rid of some of the average players we have in the squad. So we will stick with them until the contracts expire. Unless teams are stupid enough to bid a fair price. I would give Dalglish one more season to prove that this team isn't a cup team. And if these results continue in the next season, then he just has to go. Period. But as things are now, its not eye popper to see him go now.

Sean said...

So Carroll should have been sent off for his dive?

Dean said...

We haven't forgotten it all.  In fact we happily acknowledge it.  However, no-one was unjustly red-carded in that incident.  The right thing happened - Carrol was justifiably yellow carded.

John said...

At the same time you might want to look at Carroll's theatrics in the first half...that got him booked. Pepe showed intent and had to go

Deaththekid said...

What if perch exagerrated a little? This does not excuse the pathetic display we are getting every week from this bunch of fools calling themselves LFC players! They are on a football pitch, as impotent as a 90 year old geezer trying to have sex. They should all be prescribed some viagra! They cant create any decent opportunities, screw up when in front of the goals by either hitting the post or the goalkeeper, keep trying to get penalties by diving and cheating and running towards the referee to influence him, and even when they do manage to get penalties they will miss because of their inaptitude and goddamn lack of any skills. Are they really professional football players??? Give me half of their wages, I`m sure I can do a better job than anyone of them. Reina is becoming a big joke. He does not have the will to play for LFC anymore. He is partly responsible for most of our defeats this season.
Anyway I use to enjoy fantasizing on the hot wife of tom werner, linda pizzuti but now thanks to these idiots I don`t see her coming to see any matches anymore! I guess she does not like loosers...

Sioni73 said...

If he had swung a punch at him, regardless of wether he made

Adam said...

Second yellow for feighning injury? Are you for real pal? Players dive and go down all the time. THey act like they have been shot or hit with a bat all the time. Everyone in football are dirty cheats. Dont single out Perch because Liverpool lost! They were truly beaten by then already anyway. Hammered ! Get over it!

Carroll?

Toon Toon said...

Haha Ferdinand, players who don't turn up for drugs tests and come out with schoolboys excuses do my head in. Or would you prefer the likes of Shrek who elbow people in the face and get away with it.
Yes Perch was over the top, but it is still a red card all day long !!!
What is killing the game more than Perch going down as if he was shot is the rugby tackling defenders in the Premier league like YOU Ferdinand, Carragher and yes our very own Mike Williamson and many many others

Toon69 said...

So none of the above mentioned players who've tweeted against Perch have ever cheated in a game of Footy... Ferdinand is a drugs cheat ffs, so he's got no room to talk end of... the others are the worst pair to say anything against Perch & the fact that Raniera actually touch Perch with his head is a red card, no matter how hard it was!!! Carroll is just a diving cheat & you call Perch a cheat, laughable....

Chris said...

Perch should have received a second yellow card for the dive after a first yellow for kicking Reina while he was trying to set up a counter attack with the Newcastle defenders way out of position.  Reina's reaction was angry but made little or no contact and therefore also deserved a yellow.  Add that to the 2 offside goals and the deliberate handball on the line and you can conclude that the referee didn't have his best game.

scallyryan said...

Love reading this blog to see how many knobheads claim to be LFC fans. In fairness, JK often negative approach but justifies with facts, some clowns on here be careful what you wish for with the removal of Dalglish.
He has steadied a sinking ship, made mistakes with some high profile transfers and must be given opportunity to rectify them. You cannot tell me there is anyone more passionate for LFC than Dalglish and if he felt it in the best interests of the club, OF Course he would step down!!!
Too many single minded so called fans jumping on the media band wagon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WE ALL KNOW performances like yesterday are not acceptable and throw players who we should sign and need to sign etc......
BUT take performances alone, inc Cup games we have been brilliant in 75% of our games, just poor decision making and finishing have cost us massively. We need to start playing shit every week and take the 2 chances we create as Newcastle did yesterday and not create 10 plus each week and score 1!!!!!

OMG never realized how sad and pathetic Liverpool fans are. Living on passed glory as a so called big club? How many leagues in the last 15years
should be in the champions league? Why when have bought shit, and the one decent player (Gerrard) is a has been.
Think you should automaticly win games? dont have a goal scorer suarez is no striker, he needs twice as many chances than Andy Cole did and Carroll well less said the better.
Defence is old and immobile and midfield has no flair or creativity.

Reminds me of the team we had under the so called King Kenny.
What a dick.

Last thing, you are also gracious in defeat. NOT

The Mag-nif-i-cent said...

Liverpool
Defence = Slow immobile
Middfield = Slow no flair lacks creativity and goals
forwards = no finishers as suarez couldn't score in an open goal, he would either sky it or hit a post and Carroll well less said about him the better
Star player Gerrard = Has been
Manager = Old with no idea liver on passed glory
Supporters = Not the brightest Kenny lovers, for god sake Kenny left our club exactly the same as he is making yours.

Toon - your views are welcome here but please stop belittling other posters.

Steve said...

Are you trying to justify because it happens occasionally that it should be accepted in the game?? its because of narrow mindedness of people like yourself Adam that are holding the game back.

It was a shocking display from Perch to react like that when his team have already won the game.....good on fellow players like Rio Ferdinand and Glenn Johnson to publicly voice their annoyance at his behaviour, it is not acceptable and should be stamped out throughout the PL

doughas said...

they don't like it up them mr mainwaring

doughas said...

kenny could get around £250 for carroll from a farmer looking for a cart horse, then again maybe it could be reduced to £200 that's if they throw in downing as part of the deal

Blackwog said...

Hey Toon do you actually read the shit you write since when in any country did hitting someone become cheating what are we 5, and as for above you Relegated Wolf if Carroll deserved a red so did Ben Arfa, you people can not be serious. Newcastle on the day deserved to win and did in the end, but will everyone stop pointing fingers on who cheats and who doesn't because you would have to point your fingers in every game in the EPL. Lets be serious every game has someone who acts as if he has been hit by a truck, there all pussies now, if they would just get on with it we would have less fuss everywhere else. I am a LFC fan and well done to Newcastle they won no excuses, but i would just like to say Carroll WTF.

doughas said...

maybe liverpool can set an example by telling gerard and suarez not to dive, i wonder if we will see either of them in the high diving competition at the olympics in london

Jaimie K said...

Funny stuff :-)

Blackwog said...

I agree with Adam you can not single out one player  every clown does it ,it is a disgrace to the game. Carroll should have been shot for what he did, he could have scored if he stayed upright, pathetic.
So it is sad to say that the FA really needs to take a hard look at this and find some sort of punishment to discourage players from doing it. I agree with Steve too how players should criticise others for doing it as long as they haven't.

RedSilver said...

Oh my gosh, that means Manchester United surely have broken a record for most flukes in the past decade. Someone check the Guiness (book of records).

Blackwog said...

OUR PROBLEM IS KENNY THATS IT.........all bullshit aside he can not manage LFC, he is destroying it.

gabweb said...

Steadied the ship?
Made some mistakes with transfers?
You think he should be given the chance to rectify the mistakes or make more mistakes?

Thecharliehopkins said...

He has to go down to bring the refs attention to the incident. He stays up and the ref doesn't it then one player has just got away with trying to headbutt another. To his credit at least he did not stay on the floor writhing around in "pain". He got up and got on with it. No one likes to see it but jumping on Perch when it occurs every weekend is a bit strong. Anyway in a matter of says no one will remember Perch but every one will remember diving Andy and the 2 nil win for Newcastle
