Ex-Chelsea star blasts: It's 'nonsense' to consider sacking Dalglish. Agree?

A few weeks ago, Liverpool fans vented their frustration at the club's poor form by mounting a Twitter campaign to 'Sack Dalglish', which briefly trended on the social networking site. After their swift and merciless crucifixion of Roy Hodgson, fans calling for Dalglish to be sacked should come as no surprise. Indeed, many other high profile managers - including the likes of AVB, Rafa and Claudio Ranieri - have been sacked for much less, but former Chelsea star Craig Burley believes it would be wrong to dispense with Dalglish's services now.

Analysing Liverpool's current situation on ESPN, Burley - who spent eight years at Stamford Bridge - admitted that Dalglish's squad 'needs to improve', and that he may need to admit that he's 'made a mistake', and 'shift somebody out early to bring someone else in', but the Scot dismissed the idea of changing manager outright. He said:

"I think it's nonsense and too early to be talking about sacking Kenny Dalglish.

"Yes, he's struggling with the balance of the side, and some of his big signings are under-performing, but Liverpool are evolving, and they're in a transitional period.

"In twelve months, if Liverpool are still sitting in the same position then there will be big problems for Kenny".

There are big problems *now* for Dalglish, and if things continue they way they're going, the club will be so far behind the likes of Spurs, Chelsea and Arsenal that breaking back into the top four will become next to impossible. The rise of Newcastle puts Liverpool's current problems into depressing context:

* Two years ago, Newcastle were in the Championship.

* A year after promotion to the Premier League, they'd sold four of their most influential players: Joey Barton, Kevin Nolan, Andy Carroll and Jose Enrique.

* Despite those losses, the team has gone from strength to strength, and Alan Pardew's team are now 8 points ahead of Liverpool in the league table.

It's just beyond belief - how does a club as comparatively rich as Liverpool allow Newcastle to overtake them?

Liverpool have spent more money than Newcastle; have a greater pedigree; more experience in Europe, and arguably better players, but still they're struggling to make it into the top six.

The answer is obvious: effective management. Pardew has been a revelation at Newcastle: he's spent well; conducts himself with humility and dignity, which reflects well on the club, and has (arguably) made Newcastle a neutral's favourite.

Dalglish has taken Liverpool backwards; his misplaced hubris and overly-combative attitude has created a needless siege mentality and victim complex, and this has made Liverpool into one of the most despised teams in the land.

Just to be clear: I do *not* want to see Dalglish sacked, either now or in the future. After everything he's done for the club, Kenny has (IMO) earned the right to be exempt from being sacked.

Despite their lack of experience in English football, I'm sure the Owners are aware that they would become instantly despised if they sacked Liverpool's favourite son, but I doubt it will ever come to that.

Dalglish should - and I'm sure he will - step down when the time comes, and with the way things are going, that looks like it's going to be sooner rather than later.

  1. pardew and his scouts have signed good players that's the difference.
two quality strikers-cisse and ba and they have a quality ball player in cabaye.
they also a brilliant reliable young goalkeeper.if they beat us sunday then they'll more than likely finish well ahead of us.

  2. And hence why KD has to go.

  3. If we lose on Sunday KD has to go as a fan i'm getting pretty bored of his pathetic excuses in his post match interviews stating that we always play well with the odd exception (Arsenal Loss) he is almost always wrong we as LFC should not accept defeats from Wigan and QPR

  4. I would prefer to have alot more Newcastle players in the team than we currently have in ours........... The spine of their squad is a whole lot stronger than ours!

  5. If Everton and Sunderland win on Saturday, we could be in 9th place going into the Newcastle game.

  6. as a fan i find his interviews with the press insulting.he's overly guarded and at times just plain ignorant.for a man who spends so much time talking about the club doing things the liverpool way on and off the field his treatment of journalist is disgusting and a mis representation of lfc.

  8. If only Kenny had of signed quality players. It sickens me the thought of 100 million + on that lot.. But if he had of bought good players things would be so different right now and all the teams Liverpool have dominated in the past year Liverpool would've destroyed instead of drawing or losing and easily be playing champions league football next season.

  9. Yes, 2 years ago Newcastle were in the Championship & look at the progress they've made.  Lets have a little more patience & see where we are in 2 years.

This modern obsession with instant success is unhealthy & counter-productive.  Where would Man United be now if they'd sacked Ferguson after he finsihed 11th in his second (iirc) full season.

I don't recall Pardew being especially dignified or humble when he celebrated a goal in the Tyne-Wear derby by first gesturing at, then runing toward & then trying to get to Martin O'Neill.

  10. The idea that fans want 'instant success' is a total myth. That's not it at all - fans want to see:

    * Transfer funds spent reasonably well
    * Relegation zone teams beaten with ease
    * Big money signings actually score/create goals
    * Players in the team on merit, and not because of price-tag
    * The manager conduct himself with dignity, and not be constantly rude to the Press.

This is by no means an exhaustive list, but to suggest fans are angry because we didn't get 'instant success' is just nonsense.

  11. Thinking about it now Liverpool fans got a bit greedy when Benitez was there it's only now we realize how good a job he was doing.

  12. When last season Hodgson was in a same position like kenny is now everybody was calling for his head, true? and now those fans barely talk about kenny and the situation, why is this? is it because kenny is a legend and we're all afraid to speak our mind? yes i think it is and now we should shut our mouths just because kenny is the king and he knows what hes doing no matter who he buys whats his strategies, nothing just keep backing kenny. Thats very wrong we want the best for this club and the best is not in kenny right now and you fans are afraid to say what you feel im sure everybody knows kenny is not the man and they would want another manager like I do but no we cant say nothing, hes the king! if we do say so we're "fake fans" or we're mancs or blues or.... right? how sorry i am for those supporters. Kenny should do us a favor and just leave if he really loves the club and the fans.

  13. If Liverpool lost to Everton in the cup I couldn't see anyway back for Kenny and that's a definite possibility with Liverpool's form.

  14. 31 points behind United after 30 games , says it all . Not good enough , and doesn't really seem that the management team are that bothered or that concerned . Keep repeating we've won a cup and in semi final of other cup , as if we should all be made up , telling us all they are not obsessed by the league well they effing should be . That's the benchmark , the league table , 31 points after 30 games . It's indefensible , no if's but's maybe's . It cannot go on no matter what Kenny's pals say ie Shearer , Hansen , Lawro etc , we all love Kenny too but he is not the man to take us to where we need to be , sad as that may be

  16.  "we'll add up the points at the end of the season and see where we are"
if i've to hear that one more time from kenny i'll kick the telly in.birmingham didn't make as much of winning the carling cup as we have this seson, kenny always says he's concentrating on the next game but then drops in that we've won the carling cup.
our league form can't be defended and i think most fans would appreciate some honesty from kenny.

  19. I knew all along Pat, Rafa had 1 poor season so he got the sack....
Nevermind the previous 5 years of total and utter over achievement and working on a tight budget.
    The man's a genius.
We felt disappointed if we only reached the semis of the champs league, now the champs league is a distant dream.
Rafa is in Love with the club, the city and its people......and what's more we know he can win big and consistently.
Sometimes you don't know what you've got until you lose it, the world of football is far to quick to assume someone can do better.
If Rafa had been in charge when John Henry bought the club, Liverpool FC would, by now, have ended their 20 year wait for the title.
Unfortunately the wait goes on, FACT.

  20. What some of you so called fans fail to see is success will rise to the top in the midst of adversity.

This LFC is layingfoundations for success like no time before.  Rafa almost got us there but for them cowboys.  Right now, bar revenues and stadium stuff we have a settled organisation with a legend in the hotseat.  As far as I'm concerned success will come we play good footbal l we just need good results now.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Extremely valid point! KD is and will always be a legend to the majority of fans. Yes he's struggling, yes he's bought some players that haven't done as well as expected, but to be fair the players themselves need to step up as KD is powerless once they're on the pitch.

There's no point getting rid of him now irrespective of how much of a disappointment the season may turn out to be. One more season I say for the new players AND manager. Anybody remember a certain Thierry Henry struggling badly at the Arse and Wenger under pressure. Football is a funny ole game and a long game...

  23. 'so called fans'
i love people like you thinking you are better than the rest of us because we're able to see the many flaws in the current side.
    we're allowed opinions.
i spend enough money on flights, match tickets, merchandise a year to be allowed to speak my mind openly.

  24.  Get rid of KK mob...what are you thinking!!!!!

Who can come instead Pardew?? I don't think so no two ways about it LFC has history a pretty phenominal history and when you walk through them doors of Melwood & Anfield you better know you can handle the whole shebang.  There are very few who can walk in that kind of context.  A club as big as us will either have to sack managers on a yearly basis for not delivering as Real Madrid/Chelsea did until they have tasted success recently or spend like crazy again like both clubs did. That is not the Liverpool Way take it or leave.  I hope some of you leave it and join another club we are liverpool and we dont care YNWA

    ReplyDelete
  25. Well done
keep seeing the flaws what you dont realise is complaining and whinning doesnt get a better result.  It will still be a trial and error process to find what is going to work. Who can guarantee results???????  I have faith in KK he wont hold the job longer than he needs to. One thing is for sure he is LFC through and through in that respect he works for our best interest. Chin up wipe eyes mate it will be better in the morning.

  26. Torres never would've left either imo.
Under Benitez Liverpool were ranked number one in Europe.
He won the champions league at his first crack.
He bought players like Alonso, Mascherano, Torres, Lucas, Skirtel ( Liverpool player of the year by miles) , Reina, Agger.
He's second to none when it comes to tactics and as you said he really does love Liverpool club and city.
They only thing that let him down was trying buying players on the cheap, but that was mostly down to the owners imo
I hope Liverpool get him back before he joins another English club.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I'd say bring him back. Him or AVB.

  28. In the Championship probably.

Newcastle have come up a long way, and they have done it from further back than us. So if we are declining so fast to be behind them, why should we wait much longer? On what grounds?

    ReplyDelete
  29. Rude to the press catch yourself purple nose would not speak to the bbc for two years not a word about it and as far sa instant success he had to get rid of eight or nine players and more will go this year we probably have more players over thirty than any other team, and will two cups be regarded as failure

  33. And putting our heads in the sand like an ostritch doesn't get better results either.

You have faith? Based on what? What aspect of our play do you see improving in order for us to make this progress that no one else will be making? I'm not trying to be funny, I really cannot see what some supporters think will improve over the next 6 months to make a difference? This team, as it is, will never make top four. Never.

If Kenny was working in our best interests he would be working in the board room. He should be picking managers for the club (or maybe not) not managing the team himself.

    ReplyDelete
  34. anyway back don,t kid yourself he aint going nowhere

  39. KK is a legend yes, but we have to be realistic. Any other manager at this point in time will have had their head chewed off by fans, but because it is Daglish we keep quiet.

    Not me though.

The man is a great role model for us at LFC but NOT the person to take us to UCL and EPL glory.

He is tactically out of sync. When i watch i can predict exactly what he is going to do and how the players will react to the game. It is amateur stuff.

Yes all managers make horrible signings, but 4 at the same time is ridiculous. What makes it worse is he plays them week in week out expecting them to change. Average players will always be average.

For us to move forward we need a master tactician who has recent success in Europe or is at the top of their game.

I never was the biggest Rafa fan but now I can see how good he really was.

    YNWA!

  51. what do you mean who cares? You don't know how the team is going to improve? So why are you saying, like a sheep 'LFC are laying the foundations for success like no time before' but you cannot tell anyone how. Are you getting visions or something?

Clue : Support the team, not the manager. That is not supporting, that is just ar$e kissing.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I think you are the one who is telling lies, I said 'does everyone play rubbish football', the point being, how are we going to overtake teams playing good football if they, too, play good football. And, what's your point, do you think Wigan play good football? Yes or no? Good football can still get you to 17th in the table, this is the premier league, after all.

And if we play such good football, go on, say it, have we just been unlucky? Or are we deserving to be 7th and possibly going down the league rather than up. Has our football been that good?

    ReplyDelete
  53. your comment makes no sense at all. What gives you the right to talk trash, super fan?

    ReplyDelete
  54. And you and your loyalist mates would know Dalglish is not up to the job also. But you don't!

    ReplyDelete
  55. Absolute rubbish article, we have beaten Arsenal, Chelsea, Utd, and Man City this season. Unforunately we have dominated and deserved to win so many games this season but only managed to draw and as a result our confidence in front of goal has just evaporated away. Arsenals defeat was the catalyst especially after playing so well and deserving to win, hence our run of poor results.

Let's not forget we have won our first Trophy for six years and could well win the FA Cup in Kenny's first season in charge. Bloody hell it took the great SAF seven years before he won anything so give Kenny a break. Even Man City with all their resources took three years to win anything!!!!!

However on the one hand he states that Liverpool will never be able to break back into the top four if things continue as is, and then he refers to Newcastle's remarkable turnaround in just two seasons. That's football simply anything is possible if you get the breaks and build on them.

I'm afraid Jamie comes across as though he has a hidden agenda to me....

    ReplyDelete
  56. You can ha ha ha all u like. The fact is that RAFA made Liverpool a team to b feared in Europe. With KD even teams like QPR and Wigan r not bothered anymore. I think they would like to play Liverpool every week.

    ReplyDelete
  57. That my point we'l put them neysayers to rest thats for sure.  Think back RH now that was bad yet literally the same player KK in 10 game winning streak.

As you put it that's football I got to remind myself. Predictability is in the application of attitude not the purse strings. Lucas is the prime example.

  58. Just talking league position.

  59. Nice comeback!!! Let me spelt it out I have no right other than to support who I want.

  60. He is asked the daffiest questions like 'Are you happy losing' tells them about the Adam's injury 2 days ago and the first question is about Adam poor journalism not doing their home work. Constant questioning about Carroll but nothing to back it up especially after they tried question his personal life.
18 players in our squad but you never hear them ask a question about a players doing well like Skrtel and Agger.
The level of journalist asking questions is poor now a days! Could be why Kenny is finding it boring and irritating!

  79. well look at the most succesful managers in the history of lfc and see who is not up to it

  80. Certainly things haven't gone as well as many people expected this season, me included.  I just don't feel that there's any need for hysterical reactions to disappointing results.  Broadly I think we're moving in the right direction  and I don't think it will be too long before we see an improvement in results.

Enrique's had a decent season & both Carroll & Downing have shown better from since Christmas (should we 'expect' more given their transfer fees, probably, but lets judge them at the end of their time at Anfield rather than the start).

Suarez's season has obviously been disrupted but overall he's done well since he came to the club.

Adam started ok, then started playing well but his form has tailed off since Lucas's injury imo.

More often than not, Henderson's done well, he might not always give the most eyecatching performances, but he's decent with the ball, very intelligent off the ball, works hard & doesn't hide.  Yes he's been inconsistent, but that's often the case with young players.  Some of the abuse I've seen aimed at him is ridicualous & is very reminiscent of the stick that Lucas used to take.

Bellamy's played very well when he's played.  But, he does have longstanding issues with injuries & probably hasn't played as often as we would all have liked.  Who knows, maybe if he had played more games his performances may have suffered as his body couldn't have coped, maybe less is more with Bellamy.  The only people who really have the inside track on that are the medical & coaching staff at the club.  I suspect that their insight on Bellamy's fitness is better than yours or mine.

This thing about players only being in the team due to their price tag rather than on merit is, with respect, nonsense.  If that were the case surely Carroll would start every week given he cost the most (he's actually only started 50% of this season;s league games).  I don't think Dalglish would effectively cut his nose off to spite his face just to prove a point.  He's under enough pressure as it is without adding to it by picking certain players when he actually thought other players would be better (eg whether you agree with him or not, I can't believe that he'd think 'we've got more chance of winning if Maxi plays on the right, but I'll play Henderson because he cost more, even though it might mean we don't win.)

This fan really couldn't care less how the manager talks to the press.  As far as I'm concerned it has no impact on what happens on the pitch at all.

I don't think it will take much at all for us to be challenging for 4th spot (obviously next season now).  I think there's a lot more potential in this squad & I believe that Dalglish is the man to unlock it.

I just with that people would take more of a long term view & recognise that football isn't necessarily an exact science and that sometimes there are bumps along the path on the road to where you ultimately want to get to.

    ReplyDelete
  81. The fact is, that fans like you are the main reason we haven't Won acup for 22 years now.Why talk about history when the club is absolutely nothing currently. It is not important that how much money we spent or how many managers we sack………the only thing that matters is that we win.Nowdays,we are known as the fans that boast about their past to cover up our current trophy drought.I am afraid to say that if this goes on,we might find ourselves in the championship in 10 years time.
My resolution,Is that we sack Kenny angerry Rafael and give him another 100 mill,I can bet you they will win the league.

  85. Excellent article, i see opinion is split on this one....fact is Kenny is the manager and he will be blamed if we have fallen below the expected level which i agree with Jamie should be a top 4 place....

Money has been invested, Kenny has been backed handsomely and even had a bedding in period the season prior to this one....but the jury is very much out on whether Kenny is indeed the right manager to take us forward or not........

I really don't think we started this season well tbh, in fact we even seemed to be a little off the pace in our pre season....for some reason we have struggled big time and either it is basically a fault with the manager....OR it is the players....certain players perhaps underperforming....

Whatever it is Kenny should be dealing with it....and it doesn't look like he is or has..., our form in the Cups is freakish compared to our league form....where we have not gained ANY momentum at all this season....

To a certain degree i do blame Kenny for his part which is undeniable.....but i also blame certain players as well, the problem i think we have is that this squad has been seriously underperforming under Kenny, they havn't hardly looked like a team all puling together etc, very disjointed and not much cohesion....

IMO we have other problems apart from the managers position that need addressing, getting rid of Kenny will only leave us with a divided squad with players unsettled etc but that is also true if Kenny stays.......

It seems inevitable that changes need to be made, probably some big changes, but this time i hope that FSG will know what is the right thing to do come the summer.

I certainly wouldn't hold it against them if they thought Kenny had to go......but i would like to see certain players follow him if that is going to be the case.....

As always at LFC, i guess it will be interesting to see how things pan out this coming summer, presently i think the situation with manager and players is unworkable........

  87. Dsoe - If you can't deal with fair criticism of the club then please go elsewhere, and stop telling people how they *should* be supporting the club.  If you have points to make about football then by all means do, but stop posting pointless, antagonistic comments.  Thanks.

Hendersons done well and does not hide ? unless theres another Jordan Henderson in the 1st team I dont know about then your very much mistaken .

this is for the rose tinters in general : -

Its beyond belief how far some fans will go to lower expectations of the new signings in an attempt to shield kenny  - a few flick ons and the odd goal in the cup run does not and should not be called great form for a 35 m forward , have we now sunk so low that we must accept abject mediocrity and try and dress it up as progress in order to protect a club legend ? I pray to god we have not.

certain sections of the support developed a cult of Suarez at the turn of the year  - and now some are treating the club like its Kenny Dalglish FC , both attitudes are ruining the goodwill towards LFC that many neutrals once had  - sycophantic fanboyism is a turn off when you look in from outside , especially when its at the expense of reality.

This is Liverpool FC .... and it will be here a long long time after all those connected to the club now are just a footnote in its glorious history .

    also a few flick ons

Thats the same CC ive heard many LFC fans refer to as the mickey mouse cup when Utd have won it in the past , now its held up as a glorious achievment  - I mean it did wonders for Birmingham to win it didnt it ???

  92. I'm not saying things won't get better, but any 9 out of 10 managers in England would've done a better job than Kenny has done so far.

    ReplyDelete
  93.  On what grounds are you basing that on ? some say it is the players fault others say it is KK. Another manager would do better suggests KK is the problem he has lost the dressig room etc.... in fact the contrary is true .  Not a word of negativity from the players that is testimony.
Rafa had loads of grief, AVB, RH....A manages goes when the players have lost hope.  KK still embodies hope for them players.  He probably has til end 2012 to make his final managerial stance something needs to click I agree.  If we dont make it and change manager that  is LFC in freefall bigtime so I say stick with it .  2010 we were almost in administration because of bad planning that stench from them cowboys psychologically killed the club KK brought us back to life now we are relearning how to be LFC and it takes time.

  94. Yeah cos it appears they do very little else , these two highly respected , highly rated coach's , what do they do ?

  96. correct - all of kennys signings should leave with him

  97. Spain - Current Euro and World Champions who have a vast array of quality players who cannot even break into the team. Technically superior to any other footballing nation at the moment and play great football.

England - Overhyped players who get shown up at every event they participate in.

Few years back we had 5 spanish players in the starting lineup and 2 English players - we got close to the league and were feared in europe, top goal scorers, and only reaching champions league semi finals was considered a dissapointment

Currently we have two spaniards and 6 British players in the starting line up. Explains it all really.

Back then we tapped into something but that ship has sailed - welcome to British mediocrity.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Snore - yes we have beaten top sides but still sit where?

This constant celebration of the carling cup makes me wonder why England dont parade the 1997 Le Tournoi a lot more when people ask why England are terrible in tournaments - would fit in with Kenny's mentality this season.

  100. And your point is?  Does it matter whehter he has happy face on or off?  I found RH totally irritating for the opposite reason he alowed the press to make a mug of him and he supportted there effort to underrmine LFC by making dumb statement.  I want the press on edge when they talk to our manager. I want them to be very careful abt their couched questions bcz they are bunch of vultures looking for any negativity to make a meal and kenny aint having it. good on him.

    ReplyDelete
  101. At least i have been able to have sex for the first time in years... couldnt care less if its susan boyle or anyone else you say...   If that is your understanding, "that its just a cup", i fell sorry for you... maybe you should put on your helmet pack up your crayons and leave.  Its more than "just a cup", its silverware and i really dont care what competition we play in, whether its the Carling Cup, Champions League, Charity Sheild or the Maldives Cup Winners Tournament.  I want to win everything and every  tournament we play in, so its more than just 19.99 cup from chinatown.  Its another Trophy in our cabinet that we get to polish every year...

    ReplyDelete
  102.  I post because I can. By  the way what critical realism have you contributed other than to  jump on the back of others opinion. Very perceptive you are. Insightful!!!

    ReplyDelete
  103. I think you should take your own advice!

    ReplyDelete
  104. No it doesn't, implies that most teams in the premier league play good football. But if rose tinted people like you think we are going to move up the league, other teams will have to start playing poor football, do you understand now?

    ReplyDelete
  105. and that's your point, glad you made it. KK forever! Not Liverpool, but KK. That's what an ar$e kisser would say.

    ReplyDelete
  106. But you've shown no football knowledge at all, apart from spouting empty rhetoric. Where is this improvement, compared to everyone else, going to come from. Admit it, you don't have a clue! Blind faith from a blinkered supporter!

    ReplyDelete
  107. More empty rhetoric, Swansea are not behind us on a playstation game. Where is this improvement coming from, tell us, and show us you are not simply a blinkered apologist using generalisations to say nothing!

    ReplyDelete
  108. Yeah, and still way down the league, pop open the champagne? You going to rely on cup runs every year?

Where is this improvement going to come from? Someone must know, otherwise why all this undying support when you cannot see how things will improve?

This is the worst premier league in years, and we are floundering, the reasons for keeping the manager should be based on something on the pitch that people can see is moving in the right direction. Not because people want to be ar$e kissers who don't have a clue where the improvement is going to come from.

    ReplyDelete
  109. I DO support a team. I don't support any one person. If you want to support individuals, wait for the olympics or start watching tennis. Your comments give such easy opportunities to retort. Like taking candy from a baby. Particularly as you show no football knowledge at all.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Said like a true fascist.

    ReplyDelete
  111. What's your agenda? To tell us that hovering in midtable is great? And not tell us why things will improve? Its those visions again isn't it?

    ReplyDelete
  112. Well, it doesn't seem you are qualified to say 'I think, therefore I am'. I post because I can, very good!

Any opinions about the football? The transfers? The poor finishing? Tell me, how will Kenny, the messiah, improve this next season? You clearly think he will, but are not telling us how. Don't keep us in suspense!

    ReplyDelete
  113. It suggests a lot of things, lost the dressing room, has not got the tactical nous in the modern game to compete with the best, or even the average sometimes, and, most importantly, considering you are talking about the players, does not know a bad deal when he sees one. If its the players fault, it is also the manager's fault.

Hope, the kind of hope he embodied after the QPR loss was there for all to see when Wigan came to town, wasn't it? It was the same kind of hope that you are displaying, blind faith.

Hicks and Gillett have nothing to do with what is going on now. In fact, it might have been better if Kenny had been manager under them and not been given money to waste.

What takes time, exactly, coming 9th in the league? It surely does if you are Liverpool. Hope we don't start getting used to it like you seem happy to do.

    ReplyDelete
  114. History, that's part of the problem, people dreaming of the past while everyone else moves on. Why don't we go back to the old baggy shorts and the big boots as well?

Kenny looks out of his depth and stuck in a time warp. Shame some people cannot see that.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Yes, I'm stumped also.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Get the breaks? You call buying sensibly, getting rid of player power in the changing room and playing with pace and width as getting the breaks?

    ReplyDelete
  117. Still no actual football comment from you. You are betraying a lack of knowledge.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Cool, say hi to Susan next time you see her in the pub.............

  119. Oh yes, one who hardly plays, another who had played in another team he destroyed years ago, in the premier league and, then, Suarez. But look what he spent on Carroll, Downing, Adam and Henderson. And, apart from Carroll, look how many games they have played, taking the team to great heights!

    ReplyDelete
  120. I wanna see Kenny sacked because he has failed miserably. He must walk the talk that nobody is bigger than the club.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Sacking Kenny is the best thing to happen for Liverpool this season.

  124. gabweb

You sound like a two year old demanding answers. Daddy why? why? why? Okay son firstly this is how football management works.  You let the fans specualte to there hearts content then you surprise them with your plans the only people that need to know a head of thar are the directors and scouting team.

Neither you or I are qualified in football management to know a jot about who is availabe it is therefore best waiting to see what those in the know do leave speculation to the papers. Alright

    ReplyDelete
  125. It's not that simple. You have to remember how the press dealt with Hillsborough, disgustingly. Even now, BBC and the likes are putting really provoking headlines about drunk fans and so on. This is human life we are talking about, bigger then football, bigger than sport. Yet the media are never reprimanded for their disrespect. So why should Dalglish fight his mental scars to respect the media?

    ReplyDelete
  126. Gab you blow hot air your pompous tripe is entertaining though!!!!!!
There is not a bit of evidence to back up your rhetoric.

As we are right now you haven't got a clue anymore than the rest about LFC future.

Basically your blind faith argument is if I keep being negative and critical long enough its bound to come true.  You sound like those guys who tell us the world will end and it never does. Master of the bloody obvious.

LFC will not end the fact that players like SG stayed when he had opportunity to go shows there is love for LFC.
The fact £100 mil was spent shows there is love for LFC.
In a season we underperformed but were rarely out played.  Two really dire performances at the most.

Results are just one part of the picture.  Unity this year as been excellent united we stand.

There is joy in calling LFC my team  your approach is full of bitterness and stinks to high heaven. It's like someone doing a turd in the living room while people are eating in the same room.  It's disrespectful and nasty.

If you had any balls you could have made this argument in August 2011 show us your insight then... you puppet.

You prove time and again critics are a paininthearse. But as a supporter I can take that  because your opinion counts for nothing deal with it. For everyone of your sort there are thousand with opposing view points. I think their called apologist you better BELIEVE it. Here to stay LFC all the way...

    ReplyDelete
  127. i wonder how many LFC players are better than Newcastle or in which part of the field pffffffff rofl

    ReplyDelete
  128. Like I said its not playstation.  Calm down leave the joystick alone.....Where is the improvement coming from what kind of a question is that......its like saying I live because i chose to the fact of the matter in that example is so many unplanned spontaneous things cause life to be its noy just down to the individual.  You cant expect a single decision hear and there to make a big difference.

Improvement is not just about what is planned somethings happy unexpectedly because other things are in place and just come together spontaneously without rhyme or reason. LFC has a lot of good things in place manager, directors, players, ethics, finances, passion etc...Look at CL 2005 3-0 down who could predict smicer coming of the bench doing the business for once yet for years he was pants....that is football.  Wait and see keep hoping.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Once again, you've said nothing, and we've lost another game. Lot of people, including myself, doubted that Kenny would be up to this job and those people have been proved right. There's nothing that displays a lack of balls more than not admitting that you are wrong when it is clear for all to see. But you are clearly not that kind of person.
